Simple Ecology Organic Canvas Lunch Bag – GOTS Certified, Washable, Reusable, Eco Friendly, Durable Lunch Tote (Sack 9.25H × 7.25W × 6D in.) – Natural

I’m a half-day preschool teacher, and needed something more manageable than a tote bag for the days we eat lunch together. This bag looks small, but it easily holds a sandwich Tupperware, a 2-cup metal tiffin-style container, one or two 2-4oz containers or apples, a banana or a drink, a napkin, silverware, and a protein bar for after school. In the photos above, I’ve packed a sandwich, a salad, about 4oz of strawberries, a napkin, a small fork, & a small spoon. All the containers were stacked on top of each other, but the 4oz container could be packed sideways next to the metal container to make room for a something else such as a banana. On days I plan to finish eating after the kids leave (lunch with 2-3 year olds tends to end rather quickly), I pack something a bit more substantial such as a curry or pasta dish, and always have plenty of room for whatever I decide to bring. I like that it snaps shut, is washable, isn’t oversized, and isn’t insulated (insulated lunch bags/boxes are bulkier & sometimes develop a weird smell). It would be a nice simple option for a young child to be able to use at school independently (which is always appreciated when there are multiple children who need help with their lunch bags or containers). Even if left un-snapped, items tend to stay in the bag quite well, and it would be easy for a child to hang on a hook or place into a cubby. I also love the look - it reminds me of some of the save-the-Earth type bags & things from my childhood.

The lunch bag is undeniably cute and well-made, but it's ridiculously small—especially for the price. The product images and description made it seem like it could hold a full lunch, but in reality, it barely fits a snack and a small container. I was really disappointed with how misleading the listing was. If you're looking for a functional lunch bag for actual meals, this probably isn't it. Cute for looks, but not practical.

Too small

I bought this lunch bag for my new job and I couldn't be happier! It's the perfect size for my lunch without being too big. The handles are study and the quality overall is wonderful, so I anticipate this will last a long time. The snaps are a nice touch, keeping the contents secure. I haven't had to wash it yet, but it feels solid. Great purchase!

Love this bag, it’s made so nice & no chemicals. I wish they made a size bigger. I would recommend this bag.
