SHANGRI-LA Canvas Shoulder Bag Casual Tote Bag Backpack Handbag Purse Rucksack for Women

I now have 2 of these and I bought one for my daughter. I love! Lots of room, 2 outside zipper pockets, can’t say enough good things about this bag/purse.

I absolutely adore this bag! I love the many pockets and compartments. I like how the bag is functional as a work tote but can also everyday usage. It’s big enough to fit my work computer (upright) and my laptop. The black color is more of an ash, instead of a true black; which is fine, since it can still match with anything I wear. The material is lightweight and durable.

My struggle with bags in the past:I never used to carry a handbag simply because I could never use my hands freely without it slipping off my shoulder. I tried a crossbody bag which allowed hands-free capability but I find that as a woman with a chest, the strap kind of does a thing that I don't necessarily like, so I tried backpacks. Hands-free capability and no strappy annoyances, only the problem was the accessibility. Zipping and unzipping my bag for every little thing was a bit tedious and most backpacks are bottomless pits with 1-2 pockets that you have to dig around in just to find your phone or wallet. I also tend to carry my sketchbook anywhere I go so I wanted a bag that was large enough for it as well as my water-bottle and other purse necessities.What I like about this bag:This bag is freakin cute. The versatility is awesome, perfect for hands-free walks around the park/town and easy quick access runs into the store. I also love the exterior small zip pocket on the front and back, the front one is the perfect size for my phone and the back is perfect for anything else like keys or cash. On the inside there's 2 zip pockets and 1 small regular pocket perfect for my art supplies, change, and other small handbag necessities. It even has a padded slot for a laptop or tablet which is perfect for me when I need to bring my Mac and tablet with me for digital painting. The rest of the bag is quite spacious, perfect for my water-bottle, art supplies, sketchbook, and any other bulky things I may want to take with me.Quality and material:Overall, this bag seems to be pretty decent in quality. The body and straps of the bag are made up of a canvas-like material which in my experience is known to be quite durable. My only concerns for expected wear overtime are the fake leather parts and the magnetic clasps. The fake leather will eventually crack or peel and the metal clasps will either fall apart or tear through the canvas due to the sharp edges. So far I've used this bag for 2 months now and I have not ran into any issues, though compared to the average person I am a bit more gentle with my belongings. The exterior zippers are made of metal and seem to be well made, I haven't had any issues with them getting stuck or falling apart. The strap buckle on the front detaches with a magnetic clasp which is nice so you don't have to undo it every time. The bag is held closed also with a magnetic clasp. Finally, the rings are solid and convenient to hook anything you want to them.Notes / my recommendation:If you're debating between black or grey, I recommend black because it's more of a dark grey/charcoal color like shown in the picture, though some of the other colors are not quite as accurately shown. Also, I recommend the bag with the straps rooted towards the face of the bag rather than the one with the straps on the edges/sides because the bag lacks structure and when it's held it collapses in on itself causing it to awkwardly gape open.

I like the looks and material. I like the fact you can also use as backpack. I am using for everyday purse and a travel bag

I love all the pockets and the color! Works for all my needs. Would definitely say buy it if your looking at it.

It has a padded pocket for an electronic kindle or other tablet. Lovely that it converts to a backpack. Sturdy, durable and stylish.

If you are looking for a specific color of green, the color depicted is not the actual color received. Although I really like the backpack (and, in fat ordered the gray color and love it) and was excited to find what I thought was that specific shade of green, I was very disappointed with the actual color.

Just got it last night. About to exchange all my items into this one and I'm so excited to use it!It does feel a little bulky as a backpack upon first getting it. I'm hoping that once It's packed full and used for a bit that it will break down enough where it won't feel as noticable, yet still be a sturdy bag.Zippers & magnets seem to be made with high quality materials. The fabric is knapsack like. I love it.I had recently made a spur of the moment purchase of a travel backpack that has a strap to attach to your luggage handle. It was adorable in a rose gold, which is one of my favorite accessory colors (already have a watch, shoes, phone case in this color), but too small. It barely fit my 11-inch MacBook Air (technically the pocket was for a tablet, but this is all I have, and quite petite already), and the luggage strap was too small to fit onto my luggage handle. That was one of the reasons I bought it, so big downfall for me there.Yet, I decided to keep it, because it was cute (I'm a sucker for superficial appearances). I should mention I was using a classic black Coach purse, but have been over it and wanting a backpack style purse. So this kind of fit my "wants," yet didn't fit the "need" I purchased it for.Then I saw my coworker with this tote/backpack convertible style backpack and it seemed perfect. I looked at the one she got and just kinda sat there (one of those Chinese websites that keep popping up) not purchasing. Then I decided to search for it on Amazon and purchased it right away (much cheaper than my original in Rose Gold).I have more to tell in my story, but I'm just rambling. So to sum it all up... Great bag right off the bat. Cannot wait to use it. I saved money!Update: After a couple uses there are a few dislikes I have noted. The straps make it difficult to widen the purse enough to really get in and dig around. The zipper pouch/pocket is floppy. Since there is not sturdiness to it, the pocket without the zipper doesn't effectively hold anything.Overall I'm still so, so happy about this purse, and am thankful for two inner zippered pockets.

Very comfortable to wear, I think-perfect size and it has so many handy pockets. Love the fact that it becomes a backpack when needed....This is my second one. I still have the first one and still using it, but the colour had faded ( it had been washed too) and it does not look as nice, but I still love it hence got the new one.

The media could not be loaded.  The bag looks like the photo. It's nicely made but not well designed - the strap at the front has to be unpoppered then poppered up each time you open the bag, otherwise it just hangs off the front, which is irritating.The divisions inside are a bit floppy. If you don't zip the up they flop open, so you have to zip each time, which is annoying.There is a padded section, good for an iPad etc.The zipped pocket on the outside front is good for a phone.The zipped pocket on the back is huge, the size of the bag itself.The conversion to backpack is simple, quick and works really well.All in all a nice bag for the price, it looks as though it will last well, the pockets could be better designed and that front strap I may alter myself, but otherwise good.

Nice bag, pretty much as advertised.I bought it as a gift.The canvas seems very durable, but the PU fake leather used on the straps are probably going to break into pieces with time, just like any PU fake leather. But by the way the bag is made I think it will be easy enough to change the straps, so there’s that.

It has too many divisors inside and one of them has cushion (for a small laptop maybe?!) which takes a lot of space. So, the purse seems big enough but inside is not so big. I will keep but will remove this layer to make some room.
