It wasn't as big as I thought it would be, but it's actually better than a normal size rake. The handle is plenty long to where I'm not having to bend over and hurt my back. The tines are less than a foot wide but it's perfect for my smaller yard. The handle is sturdy. It's a good quality rake and perfect if you have a small yard. I'm pleased with my purchase
