I was skeptical of the higher price, but it is a quality product that is well worth it. Bery heavy duty mount and ball joints. One handle adjusts it to any position, quickly. We use it on our 41 ft. sailboat to firmly hold an ipad, when using it for navigation. It is well designed, and the ipad will not bounce or jiggle out. Only drawback was mounting on stainless steel rail.... It doesn't have enough grip. Then you see on the paper that silicone pads are an optional addition. They should include them. I just used some i had.

Works great holding iPad with Navionics as 3rd screen on my boat...adjustable clips aren’t enough to hold it so use the Velcro. Not sure on corrosion resistance yet but seems solid

The description and photos clearly depict two attachments for an iPad - one is a stanchion mount, the other for flat surface clamp mount. Only came w/stanchion mount - I needed the flat adapter.

Stronger, more secure and easier to adjust than any other mount. Definitely very stiff when locked in position. I have Clamped it down to different things and it holds secure on everything. I had to return a cheaper one I bought because it jiggled and didn't adjust. The instructions were very helpful for setup. I got this to hold my iPad on coastal trips around Maui. I like the adjustability a lot. I am mostly leaving my iPad in the mount now because I tried it on my patio furniture and it works. It’s more convenient for me to work on my Weather and route planning at home.

This seemed expensive compared to other tablet mounts but was the only one that fit my helm. After receiving it, I could understand the cost difference. This item is ruggedly made of metal at the stress areas. The clamp end is designed to strongly hold the 1 inch tubing without slipping. If you largely navigate with a pad as I do , this is definitely worth the cost.

Very sold construction, easy to install and remove. I attached it to the windshield of my Triton bass boat that does about 60 mph. It held strong to my iPad and was easy to remove when the day was done. Makes it nice to have the lake map run on the iPad and sonar on the boats GPS.

Mount is perfect, almost. My iPad has a water proof otter box because it’s used on a sail boat. Only problem in the photo ad, it appears the iPad is in a case. But in my case the iPad can’t be secured. So i have to remove my iPad from the water proof case to use it, outside. When it’s not in the case it’s exteemly secure, but exposed to the elements. I’d find it hard to believe this works with any case because the “j” clips don’t offer much option. It would be great if the mount came with a couple different/larger clips for different iPad arrangements. Other than that, it’s a great mount.

Device is heavy well made. Drawback is the clamps that slide over the sides of the ipad to grab are not made to grab a thicker protective waterproof case. Also the engineering to adjust to different positions could have been better. Great product if you have a fix location protected from the elements that you don't need to constantly remove.
