I never write reviews but after reading the bad, I must address complaints... #1 ... polyester is plastic and petroleum ..YES it is , so it will feel kind of like plastic and smell like chemical Because that is what it is .#2.... The description does not say it is fade proof , rather water resistant .#3.. Although I have never been short , it is possible . I use it to line water bags for my business. I have not had a problem with it I have ordered multiple times. I work with fiber everyday, it is my job. And ,I have looked at and worked with water resistant fabrics for a long time . If you want a higher end, fade resistant , water resistant fabric then you will pay $22 a yard and up. Sunbrella is a great example , and IMO, not worth the extra cost . If you are conserved about fading , maybe this is the wrong choice for you , but if you are looking for a basic water resistant everyday , inexpensive , this could be the right choice.

I made a topper for my new clothes washer and dryer so that they would not get scratched from laying object on top of them. The fabric is water proof which I wanted to lay out wet clothing to dry if I needed to - which I do with almost every wash. I also lined mine with a layer of batting to give it some cushioning. The fabric is a bit stiff but still thin enough to sew with my regular sewing machine but the stiffness gives it a wrinkle free effect. This fabric is exactly what I was looking for when I found it on Amazon. It did take longer to be delivered than most Amazon packages but I wasn't in any hurry so it didn't really matter. I would recommend this fabric for any such water proof need and it comes in many colors to pick from.

Quality material for all your outdoor needs and easy to work with

I was really disappointed that the YARD of fabric that I ordered was cut crooked and because of this, I received only 32-1/2 inches of usable material. It took forever to receive the fabric and for this reason, I did not return it. I attempted to contact the seller but do not know if I was successful as I received no response. I managed to piece the fabric to use it, but I should not have to do this. The distributor of this fabric should take care that the customer receives the amount ordered. If I had been physically present when the fabric was cut, I could have assured that it was cut to the correct length. For this reason I say BUYER BEWARE. The fabric isn’t quite as heavy as I expected which is another reason not to buy online, I suppose. It is, however, water proof which is what I was hoping for. I would have given this fabric more stars, though not five, if it had been cut properly and I had received the amount I paid for.

This is beautiful fabric, the color is what sold me on it because it matched the colors of a pattern I found and loved. water resistance is great, I can brush the water droplets off and sit on the cushions without any wetness, but I’ve had it outside for only a few months in an area that gets partial sunlight for 1-2 hours a day, and the top side of my cushion is almost bleached white. I’ve included photos of the cushions next to the unused fabric. To show the bleaching. I would absolutely buy this fabric again for a project using white or beige, or if I had a completely enclosed porch without sun exposure, but would not recommend the darker or more vibrant colors for outdoor furniture that will get any sun at all. It’s incredibly upsetting to finish your project and have to turn around and redo it after 3 months of use!

The color is vibrant and just what I needed. For the price it's good enough. It is light weight, so I don't expect it will be very durable. It has a plastic " sound" and feel to it, but it isn't plastic texture. If you need super durable and long lasting, upgrade to sunbrella. If long term durability isn't a factor this will work in a pinch.
