Delphi FG1250 Fuel Module

The pump itself is well built and performs great. The included rubber o-ring is slightly too big in diameter for my 2004 RX8 and does not fit or seal properly, so I had to reuse my old gasket. Otherwise would be 5 stars.

Sadly, the fuel pump failed after 3 months, despite being properly installed by a professional into a cleaned tank. I quickly began to notice a slight whine in the pump shortly thereafter, and some week later, it failed. My Mazda dealer diagnosed the problem, and I was stuck paying dealer prices for installation of a Mazda pump. Oh, well. Recommendation: if you have a RX-8, remember that Mazda dealers are basically the only ones that have the proper tool for the fuel pump ring. Just bite the bullet and pay them to do the job right.- Anyhow, I have to give credit to both Delphi and Amazon for how they handled situation. I first contacted Delphi customer service via the Product Support link on Amazon. In a few days I received a very nice email response from Delphi telling me to contact Amazon Customer Service for a refund.- It was impossible to initiate a return using Amazon’s online system, which only makes sense for a part that had been full of gasoline. I called Amazon’s Customer Service number, and the agent was extremely helpful, friendly, and efficient. I had been a bit worried because I had seen one negative review where someone had no luck getting support for a failed fuel pump. In fact, I was concerned that I might be told that the only help I might get was a replacement Delphi pump. Not so.- My experience with the refund, was perfect. Even though the pump was defective (and it cost a great deal more to get the headache over with), both Amazon and Delphi did the right thing without any argument. I would imagine that the defective pump was a fluke, and if you have the ability to install one yourself, it’s still worth a shot.

Purchased this to replace my worn out pump from my 2006 Mazda rx8. Took me about an hour to replace but it should take way less time it was just my first time ever doing a fuel pump. I have with it about 3 months in the car and it’s quality. You can actually hear it pumping while driving, it’s that good.

Replacement for my 07’RX8The fitment was great, and I’ve driven roughly 300 miles after installation and it still runs great. Just the springs on the sides are a bit stiffer than the OEM pump, other than that, this is overall a great product.

Mazda RX8 2006 MT.Priced at $145.49 + Prime at the time of this review.This is a great quality fuel module at a great price, OEM was around $280+. The fit was perfect and I had no trouble as the other reviewer stated.Fuel module comes preassembled so you just have to take out the old one and put in the new one, easy!You won't find a better quality fuel module at this price point, IMO OEM is not worth it when you have this alternative.

I needed a new fuel pump for my RX8 and this was the exact one that sold locally for almost $250. Got it quickly with Amazon Prime and had it installed that day. It fixed my performance issues for a lot less money. It was a perfect fit.

Was a direct fit on my 2005 Mazda RX-8. No modifications needed, utilized the factory connections and car fired up on the first attempt

Had to order this pump for my RX8 from Amazon.com as Amazon.ca did not have it in stock. Both product and shipping were excellent and reasonably priced...very satisfied.

Couldn't send this back after installed, but it did not work
