If you have a Bose mini, replacement of the battery is very easy. It is a self contained, all in one battery that once you get the cover off the speaker, it just snaps in. Perfect fit as the original. Battery life seems comparable as original and repairs costed less than a new speaker. Brought mine back to life.

Once I replaced the battery, all the lights on the Bose SoundLink Mini lit up and the unit would not respond. Either the entire unit is bad, or the battery is bad. Regardless, don't expect this battery replacement to reliably fix the issues you're having.

My Bose SoundLink battery needed to be replaced and Bose no longer sells the replacement battery for this version #1. I decided to check Amazon and they had it! After watching a YouTube video on how to replace the battery, I did it! It was super easy and the tool came with the battery! So glad I got this.

I love my Soundlink Mini 1. Best small Bluetooth speaker I’ve heard, and I recommend picking one up if you can.However, after some time (and some poor battery care) the battery wouldn’t hold a charge, and the speaker was relegated to an undignified spot in a cupboard.Years later I found my beloved speaker and thought I’d resurrect it with a new battery.The package included the battery, some instructions, and a torx screwdriver to get out the old battery. It was really simple. There is nothing to plug/unplug, as the battery has connections built in. Just seat it in snug, tighten the screws down, and reseat the rubber cover. After installation I plugged in the charger, and charged for about 90 minutes until the battery light turned green.This battery is 2900mAh, compared to the original battery, which was 2230mAh. So, in theory should have a 30% improvement in play time. I played a Bowie mix on repeat at moderate loudness (sat at a desk, it was louder than I would’ve normally played), playing via Bluetooth from my laptop. It played for 8.5 hours before giving out, pretty impressive.Recharging from empty to full took around 3 hours.Happy to have my Soundlink Mini back in service.

My Bose Mini was still running on the original battery after 10 years. However, the battery would run down very quickly making it marginally useful. I knew it needed to be replaced so I got this battery.It was surprisingly easy to replace. I used a small steel scraper to get under the rubber cover on the bottom. I then peeled it back to expose the old battery. I unscrewed the four star head screws that held the battery in. After removing the old battery I was then able to slip in this replacement and screw it in. I finished by pressing the rubber cover back on using just my fingers. The whole process took less than ten minutesThis battery comes with a small T8 driver. The handle seemed small to me so I used a full size T8 driver I already had. The screws were a bit stiff but I think I still could have unscrewed them with the provided driver but with a little more effort to get the required torque.I pressed the power button and got a green indicator light showing it had enough charge to operate. I then attached the charging cord and the light changed to flashing orange indicating it was charging. After about an hour and a half the light turned solid green -- fully charged. Very nice.I now have a fully operational Bose Mini. I am extremely happy with this because my speaker now has a second life.I recommend this battery replacement kit.
