comfortable, compact, quick to inflate
This insulated static v worked great for summer backpacking. It was comfortable, and the design did a good job to keep me centered on the pad. Comfortwise, it seemed to work best for me slightly underinflated. I could still kneel on it and not really feel the ground with my knees. It was nice and compact in my back pack. Paired with my ancient 20°F Northface cats meow sleeping bag, it lacked the warmth I wanted. (In other words, I founds myself with ALL my layers of clothing on when the evening temps dropped below 40°) Perhaps my bag was not lofting enough into the deep welds. Regardless, this is great for hot summer days. I also like using it under my rv mattress for better cushion. Note it took me a bit to get used to the way the air valve lock worked, but I found it to be very effective and made inflating by mouth easy and quick.

Light, comfortable, and warm. Well worth buying.
As background, I've used this mainly for hammock camping, though I've tried it out on the floor once (not yet on uneven terrain). So far I've found it more than satisfied what I needed it for. I had only used self-inflating pads before and was interested in the weight and bulk savings by switching to an inflatable. My three main concerns going in were the comfort, the insulation, and the risk of compressing to the ground. The comfort is excellent, I'm 5'10" and can lie with my head and feet fully on the pad; there isn't a lot of extra length, but when looking for something light and compact I wouldn't want it anyways. The ridges are supportive and allow just the right level of curve to be used in a hammock. The material is not sticky or plastic feeling like many pads, and would not be uncomfortable to have your bare skin touching while you sleep (though I've always been in a sleeping bag). The R value of 4.4 has proven accurate and I have not been concerned with losing heat from the bottom. I haven't taken this pad below freezing, but at/around freezing it has kept me warm with the combination of a good sleeping bag.My minor concern when I first inflated the pad was that in sitting on it and moving myself into a laying position I was able to compress the pad completely and touch the floor. This would be very bad if it happened in a normal sleeping position, but once laying down on the pad, no normal movement/positions would compress the pad this way.The one issue I've had with this product is the inflation nozzle. It seems to seal well, as I haven't had any issues with deflation, but it can be quite annoying to open/close, getting stuck or popping out when it appears to be locked. Also, the perpendicular positioning and size of the nozzle makes many methods of rolling this pad up leave the nozzle poking outwards. I haven't had the nozzle malfunction in any way because of this, but I would be more comfortable with the nozzle pointing off the corner of the pad like many other pads feature.Pros:-Easy to set up/take down-Comfortable-Good insulation-Very small and light weightCons:-Potential for compressed points in some positions-Annoying nozzle function/positionI would definitely recommend this pad to anybody looking to save weight/space by switching from a self-inflating pad. Especially for such a low price.

I used this for my Appalachian trail thru hike
I bought this the last couple days before the start of my thru hike last year at this time and I am glad that I did. I was planning on using a solid foam pad like a z-lite but I am glad I bought this. It is lightweight, easy and quick to fill up (maybe 13 breathes for me) and pretty comfortable. I did notice that it would be a little deflated upon the morning but not much maybe half a breath. I figured it was for the temp difference but klymit said it shouldn't do that. The duration on this pad is really good. I hike the AT with my dog and she would sleep on it as well and her nails never did any damage to it. I eventually got a hole in it but that was my fault, I laid it on a pavilion floor without laying any ground sheet down. I tried patching it but it never was the same. It was also at the time of having problems with the valve, it broke off when I would try to pull it open to inflate. I could still put the cap on and it would retain air but with that and the hole I would wake up at night to have to reinflate it. After about a week or two of this I emailed klymit about the problem and they said since I am in the middle of my thru hike, they would send me another mattress instead of the usual procedure of sending my current one back to have it fixed. They sent it to a trail town and I was so grateful to be able to sleep the night through without having to get up and reinflate. Really nice customer service and product. I have been using this mattress still, like 4 days of the week. I work out of town and camp usually and this has been holding up nicely. A little worried about the valve, but I can send it back to klymit to have it fixed if that day does come. The stuff sack isn't the best and will break down over time. But I have sewn the bottom and all seems to be going well. Overall, I would give this a 4.5 but since the customer service is outstanding they earned the 5 stars

UPDATE: KLYMIT WARRANTY TEAM IS DOPE - Developed a leak after a few times using it in my tent
UPDATE: I emailed them and submitted a warranty claim and they just shipped me a brand new one no questions asked and I didn’t have to ship them the old broken one. Very pleased with how they handled it. We’ll see how long this next one lasts me. If it develops a leak I’ll come back here to update.MY SLEEPING PAD DEVELOPED A LEAK AFTER ABOUT 5-6 USES, two or three nights per use, tops.I'm pretty bummed about this. I just submitted a claim on klymits website so we'll see how that goes. I will update here about their warranty and how smooth and easy that is. So far i'm not happy to see that I have to pay to ship it to them.I liked this sleeping pad while it worked for me.It is def pretty warm.Comfort level is decent for the size and packability. Its not incredible but its not bad. A good compromise all around. It packs down tiny. So if you want to know you'll be warm and know that it's light and easy to carry, thats a for sure. But I can't really comment on its reliability because this one has failed me pretty quick. I don't beat up my gear, i treat it right, i take care of it, I air it out and clean it off after each trip to make sure it stores properly. So i dunno maybe I just got unlucky or maybe this pad isnt super durable. Will update once I hear back from Klymit.

Actually amazed at how good this is.
I had a Helium 38 for about 3 years until it started to deflate during use, but was unable to trace where from. After much searching for a replacement this was in my top 5. After many hours of video channel viewing it made the number 1 spot because I wanted it for a dd hammock Delivered before the due date, so bonus points earned straight away.First impressions, half the weight of a self inflating mat and just over a third of the size. Easy to inflate, but I did use more than 12 breaths, still not any worse than topping up a self inflating mat. Packing away is very easy, just open the valve then roll up to expel any air remaining and finally fold and roll. It slips into the stuff sack effortlessly, unlike a self inflating mat.First-time in the hammock was great, very warm, but couldn't comment on the comfort because let's face it, a hammock is so comfortable anyway. I did have to sleep on the floor at home for a couple of nights so used this instead of an air mattress. Wow! It's as comfortable as my normal bed, whether on my side or back. I didn't roll off and slept the whole night through, waking up without any aches and refreshed from a great night's sleep. I have not experienced this level of comfort from any other roll mat. There is no noise from it apart from when you get on it, and no air loss. The noise factor put me off the thermarest mats.Only time will tell how durable it is, but the guarantee seems good and I will update this review if I have any problems.Unfortunately I paid full price for this, unlike all those lucky people who get free items to review, hint hint. I have already recommended this mat to all my friends, and am pretty sure that anyone else with one has done the same.

Light, comfortable and warm
This a cut above self-inflating mats and lightweight blow up mats I have used. The comfort and weight beats the self-inflating mats hands down. I have a couple of thermarest mats that I have used for years but now I'm old and my back is arthritic I need comfort and I need lighter kit wherever possible, so I migrated over to the inflatable mattress.I had a very light Alpkit mattress which packed down to nothing, was much thicker, lighter and more comfortable than the self-inflating mats and I was happy. Well, happier because now I was colder. There is too much convective airflow in the inflatable mattress so it was cold. Then came the Klymit:It has the comfort of a inflatable mattress but has added insulation too.I tend to sleep on my side and it provides excellent comfort and is warm enough for sub zero camping too. Mine has been used for camping and biviing and has been well worth the cost. The only downside is that it makes a farting sound when you shift around on it too much but let's face it, who doesn't like comedy fart sounds when they're camping?

Comfortable, light weight, warm.
After reading reviews on it on backpacking/trekking sites, I finally bought one. It is so comfortable, keeps my back or side warm, and at 250+ lbs my hips doesn't touch the ground! My only complaint it the change in valve. This flip valve is a PITA.

Fantastic sleeping mat, comfortable and warm
I already own a different model of inflatable sleeping mat from Klymit, the Inertia O Zone . It's a fantastic ultralight mat, comfy for what it is, weighs just 400 grams all-in and packs away to just over the size of a can of Coke. I mean it packs so amazingly small I thought I lost it in my rucksack nevermind I keep fearing I'll lose it at home. Once inflated it's small enough to fits inside your sleeping bag, and comes with a pillow. I've found it warm enough during mild conditions, but it struggled in the very cold.So to this model: 50% heavier; packs noticeably larger (closer to a 4 pint carton of milk though not quite as tall); and doesn't fit inside a sleeping bag. But it is definitely more comfortable, and it's definitely warm. Klymit claim a tog of 4.4 (the equivalent of a heavy summer duvet) and I see no reason to query that. It also genuinely inflates in 14 or fewer breaths (12 deep breaths for me). This mat would be a perfect year-round mat for anyone. If you want a lighter, tiny-packing mat for fair weather use consider checking out other models including the O Zone mentioned above. But this mat - so warm, so comfortable, it really is a joy.Measured weight: 600 grams(Mattress: 575 grams; Bag including repair kit: 25 grams) Inertia O Zone
