Led Zeppelin II

I bought all 3 of the super deluxe Led Zeppelin releases and all I can say is wow! These sets are beautifully produced and packaged. They make even the superb Jethro Tull Aqualung package look cheap! The box itself is solid and extremely robust. The LP sleeves are faithful reproductions of the originals with the addition of a holographic Swansong sticker on the back of the sleeve. The extra's disc sleeve is the original artwork with all the colours reversed. The hardback book is chock full of photo's and reproductions of reviews, interviews, articles - again beautifully produced. The CD are miniatures of the LP - the discs are also inside anti-static cellophane bags - and they sit in a recess in the bottom of the box.Jimmy Page has done an amazing job of remastering the originals, the sound is crystal clear and brings a fresh enjoyment to well-known music. The extra's disc provides alternate and / or instrumental takes on well-known songs as well as a previously unheard song. Again, sound is superb.This may be an expensive set but in I'm my opinion all three sets are by far the best produced reissues by any band and they are worth the money - if you can afford it. Now, if only Atlantic records / Chris Squire would do a similar job on Yes' Close To The Edge LP.

Just received Super deluxe Edition for Led Zeppelin I, II and III. Only played the vinyl - all absolutely sublime and well worth the investment. Bring on the rest of the catalogue!!Only complaint is that I'm sure the vinyl should have been on the red and plumb label!!

I'm very pleased to own these box sets as they are a fitting tribute to the greatest records ever recorded but can't commend their value for money. The extras are interesting but hardly essential. Nicely presented however.

This is just a quick word on the vinyl. The sound quality is good. But the disc isn't as quiet as the 2 Kate Bush. Hound of Love and Sensual World,180 gram releases by Audio Fidelity.

A beautifully produced set. Expensive, but a very nice souvenir of one of the best bands ever.

Bought this originally for my birthday in 1972, so felt I could justify replacing it. Fabulous album on cd and vinyl.

Nothing to compare. Just amazing
