Great customer service
Everything came well packaged, and nicely. Only problem I ran into was the bulk substrate already cut open! The seller sent a new one asap, 10/10 customer service! I recommend this to all growers.

Thanks mycolabs. All the materials and instructions were great. No contamination issue on ny end. Just wondering if I could buy liners for future grows in this specific size, didn’t see them in the store.

Great mushroom kit
The components of this kit are great but it is a gift so I don't know how well it will perform.

Lacking any instructions
Incomplete instructions. Then when you look at the bits and pieces of instructions you see a syringe (unknown quantity) injecting I suspect water into a spore bag which is not labelled. Of course syringe is not included. So if you want to wing it and make your own process this is the kit for you. They have some videos but nothing which covers beginning to end.

Just ordered another one
As with all the other excellent Midwest Grow Kit products this new Grow Tub is awesome! I used 7lbs of substrate and 3lbs of colonized grains. This gives you a bit more surface depth than that of the typical 3” substrate thickness. I was not disappointed with the results! I love the design and the ability to stack bins which is a great feature. The grow bin is sturdy and super solid. I was so happy with the results from this monotub that I ordered another one today. If you’re a beginner or experienced mycologist this is a great option.

Vermiculite casing isn't sterile. Perfect until casing was applied.
The casing layer introduced contamination.Everything went exactly according to the instructions until then.I am a well seasoned grower trying a product out and all precautions were taken. The only vector was the casing.I'd recommend sterilization to anyone buying this kit.Don't take it for granted that the seller adequately sterilized the medium and casing or containers and filters.Other than that, the kit is well built and seems great.
