I do lots of DIY projects and am a novice woodworker. I picked up this jig recently and have already found a few great uses for it. This jig is a mini-drill press and removes a lot of the guessing of drilling by hand. It only has three angles, but honestly that’s sufficient for most projects and it is so much more compact than a press. Upon taking it out of the box, it feels very sturdy and well built. I definitely recommend testing it out on a scrap first to get the hang of it and ensuring you have a good clamp. It was definitely built with quality as well - it was easy to clamp, fits in tight spots, sleeves were adjustable, true to size/smooth, and can adjust the sleeve position if needed, and the side markers to align the center were properly aligned. It fits common bit sizes for most projects. Overall, I’m definitely happy with the purchase and am glad to have it as part of my toolkit.

The fit and finish of Xdovet's new angle drill jig is outstanding. It has 30, 45 and 90 degree angle guides. Being made of aluminum alloy, they have manufactured this tool to exacting tolerances. It also looks great painted orange with the white lettering and they are very easy to see. Each size guide is clearly marked to be sure the correct size guide hole is being used. This new tool looks great on my shelf, but it's preciseness is what really matters.This is an angle guide with four different drill sizes and is able to drill at three different angles. I bought this angle guide because I needed to be able to drill some exact 90 degree and 45 degree dowel holes. I wasn't disappointed in anything about it. My angles matched up perfectly and my joints fit together to the exacting standards I needed. In fact, once I sanded the pieces I joined, the angles were so perfect that it was difficult to see where the pieces all went together.When I inserted the drill bit into the guide hole, I was surprised by how tight and perfect the fit was and that there was no side to side movement or wobble at all. It was as tight as it could be made, giving me the exact diameter holes I required. The four drill bits are sharp and drilled through the wood I was using with no issues at all. I don't have any cable railing to do, but my joints and angles are pretty much the same and this angle guide will work for railings just as it did for my project.If you want precision at a really great price, this is the one to get. I highly recommend it to anybody.

Works as described. Solved a lot of issues.

Very solid construction. Four options each for 30, 45, 90 degree. Make sure it’s secured firmly to the surface before drilling. The inserts for the drill size tend to be a little soft. If they would increase the hardness (58-60 Rockwell) it would get 5 stars. Would buy again.

Helps drill bit drill through any variations in grain that otherwise causes bit to wander.

Met its purpose

The jig will not help with 90 degree connections which is about 99% of woodworking. I’m really not sure what this jig is good for other than a paperweight.
