I have a sporterized Enfield I inherited from my Dad who inherited it from his Uncle and I've gone target shooting with it a few times but wanted to learn more about looking after it properly. This book has a lot more information than I was expecting and will be a great resource for me.

Rien ne vaut le format original pour ce genre de manuel. La réduction des illustrations ajoutée à la mauvaise qualité des photocopies rendent plus que difficiles voire impossibles dans certains cas la lecture des images et de leurs légendes. Je suis très desappointé.

I believe this is a reprint of the original army Field Manual? I'm not absolutely sure. The detail is excellent for the average (non-gunsmith) user and kind of puts the rifle into perspective. I mean, while the sections on field stripping and cleaning are great I especially enjoy reading the marksmanship, technique and advice sections. Good perspective on an historical rifle.

Hey this is an exact copy of D.O.D. Field Manuals, so we no that no expense was sparred in producing it. I you everything that you need to know to repair and maintain this rifle.

Very nice reproduction of the War Department manual. Great for a new owner of the M1917 like myself.

Good book on the M1917. It mainly focused on training users of the rifle with some basics on maimtenance of it too. So, if you are looking for a book on details of how to work on the rifle, this ain't it.

Since I couldn't find an original FM, I bought this. It was very helpful in dissasembly and a cool view of old training.

this is a very lousy book for anybody wanting info about the m1917. most (99%) of the book is about firing it and the military firing range and how its set up to be used for practice. don't buy this book!!

my husband bought a 1917 smithfield for our son. This book was a great addition to the gift.
