It fit into the socket and I was able to bypass the ballast, capacitor, and striker. I wired it direct to the socket and it works great. The pool light hasn't worked in year because of the cost to repair. I am glad to say it now works great and runs so much cooler.

Dont buy this led light. I just finish installing round 60 bulbs i haded to bypass the ballast, hard work and being 30 feet high in a ladder for a it to be less brighter than halogen bulbs. Our lighting looks worseer than before, Over $600 dollars down the garage. My bosses at work are not happy at all with this purchase.

Its not nearly as bright as a 150 Metal Halide G2. Its about 6000 lumens off, and it shows. I wouldn't use these for any type of outdoor/warehouse setting. They just don't have the room on that small bulb to add the LEDs necessary to rival an HID lamp. They look like they'd be great in home specialty lighting though as spots or accent lights.

They are a good replacement for metal halide G12 bulbs, the color and light intensity are nearly identical anyway. However, quite a few of the bulbs we got just 6 months ago have burned out, and we've discovered that one or more of the LED elements appear to develop hot spots and melt right through the plastic cover (I've included a picture). Granted, these lights are left on 24/7, but it's disappointing that they're doing this, and I hope this isn't something that could lead to a fire hazard.
