(Edited - no surge protection with this unit)Nice 8-way extension with switch.I've attached photo of how to surface mount underneath a desk using 90 degree angled brackets, but you can also use straight surface repair brackets (about £9 atm on Amazon for 8, but you only need 2).The bracket width has to be 20mm, the thickness max is 3mm, I would recommend at least 100mm length for straight brackets. (better still see ASIN: B0B2J8Q6RC or similar for sturdiness).The body of the extension unit is quite light as it is made of plastic, so my small 90 degree brackets work fine as they are stainless steel and slide into the hanging fitting each end easily (20mm wide/3mm thick).The unit only comes with a plastic reversible piece to either hang the body like on a shop hanger or screw/hook on the wall or you can reverse it and it provides 2 x screw holes for a stronger fixing if you are vertically hanging it. You have to remove this to install the brackets, which is very easy just push the middle piece in and slide the whole piece out.It's hard to find an 8-way unit with good horizontal fixings, so with either to 90 degree OR flat brackets above you can install this unit very easily.Hope this helps and I hope it stands the test of time, any issues I will update the review.

Wonderful extension lead. You can use every socket even if you have a bulky plug

Bought to go under a standing desk in a cable tray. They are pretty thick so needed to buy the right tray for the job.Works really well. No surge protection but it's a decent enough construction and great value for money.

This is a truly exceptional product! Everything detail is perfect. The extension lead itself has a heavy duty cord of good length, offset plug angles to ensure you can plug in all different kinds of plugs without obstruction with each other, a heavy duty cleanly molded (polymer?) frame, a hook system you can use to mount safely to a wall etc... or remove, a large dead switch to turn power to the extension off instantly, as well as full safety certifications and protective wiring. Everything about the product is what you want, even the packaging is appropriate and good quality. For the £15 pounds I paid for an 8 gang model it's worth every penny. Sure you can get a 4 gang generic lead for 4.99, but if you have lots of devices and different style plugs and want something engineered to be good instead of generically copied from a less than perfect design to be cheap? It's just plainly worth the money. Now I want to know what else this German Firm Brennenstuhl make.Ps. Not paid by Amazon, Not affiliated with Brennenstuhl, Just Seriously Impressed!

I have several; one has had several monitors and high watt pc plugged into it for 3 years without problems. The casing, cable and switch is sturdy.

Replacing 2 4 way adaptors with 1 8 way worked out better value than buying more 4 ways. It skips very long was my first thought then came attaching it to my desk and the fixing isnt so great especially to mount it horizontal so I used a 3rd screw to support the other end then you realise once on the fixing bracket fastened to the desk you cant actually get to the clip to release it. So as far as I can see it's there for good. 3m long cable is fantastic I only needed 1m but it's all hidden away. Seems a really solid product far better than the cheaper ones from supermarkets and other places.

Well made and sturdy plug adapter. This is to be expected from a German company.It really helped to tidy my various cords which were plugged into a 4 & 3 plug adapter.Happy to have thought of this solution to my problem and bought it.Happy days 😅
