wow
Listening to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" on vinyl is an extraordinary auditory experience. The sound quality is absolutely fantastic, capturing the intricate details and sonic brilliance of each track. From the opening heartbeat of "Speak to Me" to the soulful saxophone in "Us and Them," the clarity and depth of the music are unmatched. The analog warmth of the vinyl truly brings the album to life, making every note resonate with emotion. The album cover and artwork are simply amazing. The iconic prism design, created by Hipgnosis and George Hardie, is as striking today as it was when first released in 1973. The minimalist yet powerful imagery perfectly encapsulates the album's themes and is instantly recognizable. Holding the LP in your hands, you can appreciate the fine details and thoughtfulness that went into its design.Overall, "Dark Side of the Moon" on vinyl is a must-have for any music lover. It’s a timeless masterpiece that not only sounds incredible but also boasts some of the most memorable and stunning artwork in music history. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer, this LP offers an unparalleled listening experience that stands the test of time.

Great record
Record is great and works perfectly, sound is pretty much identical to a digital version. Only small issue was that the sleeve was sealed too tight and it bulges slightly, but it is only a minor issue and didn't affect the record, which is all that matters.

Greatest album ever just got the tiniest bit better again. But is it worth it?
Justifiable? Madness? I already possess the 30th-anniversary SHLV 804 pressing, the 1993 20th-anniversary CD, and numerous other format versions. So while I'm sick to see yet another release of what was a brilliantly recorded album originally, for me, it came down to this. Vinyl is the ONLY way to listen to Dark Side of the Moon. So, would I be happy sticking with the second-best recording of my favourite album ever, or get this?I coughed up and took the plunge. What did I find?Unlike the remix of Animals, this retains the same dynamics, I found I still listened to the same moments in the same way, but the clarity is the thing. It's like everything's been picked up, polished, and set back gleaming. Plus - and for audiophiles, this is something of a miracle - they've solved the distortion issue around 6 minutes into Us and Them which always drove me crazy. So the listening experience, like the album, has never been more harmonious or astonishing. But only... very slightly. Is it worth it, then? For anyone who already owns Dark Side on vinyl, all you're really paying for is that incremental improvement. To answer this, I will quote a certain tall motor journalist (you know who I mean) when reviewing the then-new Aston Martin DBS. He said to his mystified colleagues that it was like a DB9 where every little piece is a little bit better. He went on to conclude that you could never again choose to buy a DB9. In that instance, the price difference was £50k. Here it's less eye-watering, but the point remains. It's a lot of money for little gain. You'd have to be mad.But then I've always been mad, I know I've been mad...

Fifty years on, still as fresh as ever
Like a lot the boomer generation I first got this more or less at the time of it's time of release in the 1970s but it has long since disappeared and probably found its way into various record fairs dotted around the country. So I opted for this brand new, sealed copy on 180g vinyl which comes in a gatefold sleeve complete with replica posters and stickers and took myself back 50 years in time.Even on my bog-standard Steepletone Music Centre the sound quality is very good with no background clicks or hiss etc. In fact nearly as good as the sound one would get from a CD.The content of DSOM itself needs no introduction as anyone who has even the slightest interest in progressive rock music will know this album off by heart and be aware of it's huge influence going back decades. And at a price of under £20 it's a bargain.
