Q: I cannot get the wire to stay wrapped around the foam cutter prongs. I coil them, wind them, and they always seem to unravel after a few minutes. ?

There should be some mechanism to "lock" the part you wrap or run the wire through. also be sure to not use too much pressure when cutting things as it "loosens: the wire or stretches it out.

Q: What is the awg of this wire?

According to the Woodland Scenics website, 30 Gauge or .010"

I don't wrap to the prongs, I have a coller with set screw to wrap the wire thru, and I wrap and twist it to self lock the wire.
