The Better Bottle company has come up with a lightweight, easy to clean carboy that's specifically designed for beer. This 6 gallon fermentation carboy is constructed from special polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic which does not stain or transfer flavor to your brew, does not contain BPA, plasticizer or other additives and is one of the safest, most desirable plastic to recycle. Another bonus: it's resistant to just about any cleaning or sanitizing agent you'll be using on it. For all these reasons, many brewers prefer the Better Bottle plastic carboy to traditional glass carboys.
