Beautiful, high quality and surprisingly fragrant
I have some shun knives so thought i would complement them with this chopping board. It's almost too nice to use, perfectly constructed, gently saunawood smell, looks very elegant. Worth taking the time to read how to care for it properly though (apparently good to dampen it a bit prior to each use) as I got a turmeric stain on it fairly early

Will take some looking after but should be worth it.
It might take a bit more looking after then plastic boards but will be much better for my knives.

Poor packaging and protection
The item itself is great quality, but for a soft wood that can be easily damaged, there was NO protection from the seller. No bubble wrap/filler and the delivery package itself was a flimsy paper bag. I have seen low priced, sturdy products delivered with more protection. In addition to this, I reached out to the seller and mentioned this but I have still had no response/acknowledgement almost a week later.

Il tagliere è bello solido, anche se non molto spesso non flette grazie all’ incastro di un listello sui lati. Il materiale è di estrema qualità ed è adatto al filo delicato dei coltelli giapponesi. Appena aperto ha un gradevole odore di cipresso. L’ho subito trattato con olio di vaselina alimentare per preservarlo più possibile.

Needed a replacement for a hinoki board my ife threw out because 'it looked dirty' so my wife bought Ikea ones which were too small and had the useless dicth around the periphery. Wanted the largest hinoki board I could find, which was this one, but not only is it larger than my old one, it is also thicker. Overall a great performer and I am seriously pondering buying a second to pi$$ my wife off further.

la calidad es lo que importa, y este producto la tiene, sin ninguna duda, es madera de un tipo de cipres al que se le llama HINOKI, tiene unas muy buenas cualidades como tabla para cortar, y al mismo tiempo cuidar el filo del cuchillo

Je viens de la recevoir et la tester. La luvraison etait rapide et l'emballage très soigné. Elle était plus belle que j'ai pensais, très légère, sens bon. Je l'ai mouillé avant de la tester, lavé et séché après l'utilisation. C'était un plaisir de couper sur cette planche, le bois est beau, presque lumineux, et fort agréable au toucher. J'espère qu'elle durera
