A visual timer was one of the tips recommended by the book "How to keep house while drowning" by KC Davis and it has been a game changer. I use it to start tasks and keep at them in 20 minute time slots. Using a visual timer makes it easy to see how long I have left and keeps me from being distracted (something that would happen if I used my phone timer. I would check my phone to see how long I had left and get distracted and start doom scrolling) it has a beeper that goes off at the end of the session which switches itself off after a few beeps. This gives me time to finish the task I am doing without having to stop to switch off the alarm. This visual timer would be a great way to use with children when doing homework or tidying up toys etc it makes things interesting without distractions.

Love this, does what it says, great for motivating myself and my children to get set tasks done within a timescale.Really helps my little ones to understand time when they can visualise how long is left on the timer.

This is a great little timer for the price, especially because it includes batteries. Perfect for our needs, however, maybe I just have fantastic hearing but I think the ticking is actually quite annoying! Having said that I do use it when I'm reading so I'm sat quietly, if I was doing a job I wouldn't find it annoying. I hate any sort of ticking clock so this isn't ideal in that respect, but otherwise it works great!

We got this to help our young children be able to see how much longer until whatever. Definitely helps reduce the questions since they can see the time go down with this timer.

Bought this to keep track of time for kids activities and it works well. Kids also live being able to do the setting parts.

This timer is a little smaller than I thought, but the red timer portion is very visible. I also like that there are two volume settings so I can set it depending on the noise level in the classroom. There is also an option to have the alarm go for either 3 seconds or 60 seconds - I don’t know that I will ever use the 60 second setting because that is a really long time to have an alarm going off, but it is available if someone needed it. When I tested it on the low volume and 3 seconds settings it was plenty loud and long enough for my purposes, and the red visual gives a quick and easy way to glance at the timer and see how much time is left.

I love these little count-down timers and have bought two - one for home and one for work. Kids love using them for all different purposes, and I find them useful too, for keeping track of time, with a visual cue. I would buy again, and recommend to any looking for time-timers.I initially was put off by the fact the timer goes 'backwards' (ant-clockwise) rather than 'forwards' (clockwise), but have gotten used to it and it's fine now.
