VERY NICE QUALITY & WELL MADE
This is a very nice vertical skewer set. It is stainless steel. It has handles which is very nice for taking it off the grill. I had never used this type of skewer set up and I really liked that it collected the juices and there was no flare ups. It has 3 different size skewers with it and they are very easy to change out. It is very well made and a very nice quality.

Flimsy skewer, thin metal, poor quality.
It’s sad that the world has come to this. This product really shouldn’t cost more than $5. That’s what I would expect to pay for something like this at a flea market, where it should be sold. There is nothing wrong with this product per se but it’s just such low quality. Thin metal, the skewer is very flimsy, is not secure on the plate. If I bumped this into a wall it would bend and be broken as a result. Its sad to me that our society has accepted that a product like this is worth $20.

Yum! Gyros!
Vertical Skewer Grill, Stainless Steel with 3 Removable Size Skewers (8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch) for Al Pastor, Shawarma, and Chicken Skewers, Perfect for Tortilla Makers and Cowboy GrillsBrand: LswyimaoI love making Gyro eat at home. Pre-made stuff includes a lot of unnecessary ingredients that destroy the flavor. But, I did not have this handy cooker to keep the meat from basically braising in its own fat. Not that I'm opposed to the fat, just that it cooks weirdly. So, enter this cooker. I followed my favorite recipe and changed how I cooked it slightly and I am thoroughly pleased with the results. This will give me some flexibility for preparing different styles of meats for my carnivore diet and that gets me excited to try more things. Here is the Gyro recipe I used:Ingredients:1 medium onion, finely chopped or shredded2 pounds ground lamb1 tablespoon finely minced garlic1 tablespoon dried marjoram1 tablespoon dried ground rosemary2 teaspoons kosher salt1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepperDirections:Process the onion in a food processor for 10 to 15 seconds and turn out into the center of a tea towel. Gather up the ends of the towel and squeeze until almost all of the juice is removed. Discard juice.Return the onion to the food processor and add the lamb, garlic, marjoram, rosemary, salt, and pepper and process until it is a fine paste, approximately 1 minute. Stop the processor as needed to scrape down sides of bowl.Form the meat into a cylinder and tightly wrap with plastic wrap. Let rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until firm. You can prepare it the previous day too.Baking:Only use one rack in your oven on the lower slot. Preheat oven to 400F using the convection roasting function if you have it. Prepare you pan and place the meat down the skewer. Careful, the spike is sharp!! Place the meat in the oven for 15 minutes to get a nice sear on the outside. Reduce the heat to 350F bake until the internal temp is about 160 to 170F. Remove from oven let rest for a bit before carving. Baste it with some of the pan juices!Save the pan juices and fat for heating up any leftovers!Serve with pita or naan bread & Tzatziki SauceHow to make Tzatziki Sauce:16 ounces plain yogurt1 medium cucumber, peeled, seeded, and finely choppedPinch kosher salt4 cloves garlic, finely minced1 tablespoon olive oil2 teaspoons red wine vinegar5 to 6 mint leaves, finely mincedPlace the yogurt in a tea towel, gather up the edges, suspend over a bowl, and drain for 2 hours in the refrigerator.Place the chopped cucumber in a tea towel and squeeze to remove the liquid; discard liquid. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the drained yogurt, cucumber, salt, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, and mint. Serve as a sauce for gyros. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to a week.Yield: 1 1/2 cups

Well Made…Good Size…Not For A Whole Chicken
I love chicken shawarma! So when I saw this ‘Vertical Skewer Grill’ on Amazon, I had to order it.This ‘Vertical Skewer Grill’ is goof quality. It’s constructed of a nice thick grade of stainless steel. I like the fact it has a brushed finish rather than being shiny. That way it will stay cleaner looking longer. The grill is very easy to use. I like the large pan. It’s even big enough to hold a good sized chicken. And it’s deep enough to catch all the drippings without spilling. I also like that there are different sized skewers included with the set. And they attach securely to base by screwing in. That a good feature. Just be careful, though, they are sharp. This ‘Vertical Skewer Grill’ works good. The first of chicken shawarma I tried on it came out delicious. There is a learning curve as far as cooking it goes. My next batch will be even better. My only complaint about this ‘Vertical Skewer Grill’ is that the skewers are really designed to hold a full sized chicken like shown in the pictures. When you try to put a whole chicken on it, it just falls to the side. There needs to be sone kind of meat forks included as well. For the most part, I’m satisfied with this ‘Vertical Skewer Grill’. It’s good quality…holds a lot of food…and cleans up easily. It just needs something to hold a full chicken better.

The center stem broke off at the weld after only the second use.
Be very careful when using this as mine broke the second time I used it. While slicing the meat (al pastor), the center piece snapped off the base. You get what you pay for I guess.
