I thought this balloon dog bookend was so cute and would look great in my office to hold up some books I have. It is very cute but there were some unexpected and downright inaccurate things in the listing that surprised me and, frankly, I find unacceptable for the price point this is at. - The balloon dog and base are NOT magnetic as the pictures show. In fact, the balloon dog comes with adhesive dots on the feet that you have to peel then stick to the base yourself. Being that it is a very slick acrylic base, I don't have a lot of confidence this is going to hold up with time. - Non skid? The base has no form of non-skid padding on the bottom. This is guaranteed to skid depending on the surface you put this on. - The balloon dog itself is very cute and seems to be high quality but really lacks the weight necessary to hold a bookend in place on its own. - For the price point, the many shortcuts that were taken and the fact you only get a single bookend- I would not recommend this. This is such a cute idea though- I really wish the listing was accurate and this worked as well as I had hoped.
