I use these for my cast iron since I have a bad habit of forgetting it's hot until my fingers touch the metal. I also use this when working on projects where I need my heat gun so I can hold the object while the hot air is blowing. They gloves get warm but they've protected me so far. I haven't used the trivets yet so I can't comment on those.

These are great for my husband or anyone with larger hands, he will use these when camping, the coffee pot, the dutch oven, when taking hot pans and tins off the grill. They are a bit bulky if you have tiny hands. The quality is fantastic which is why I gave it 5 stars. Comes well wrapped in its own box, so perfect for gift giving.
