This fish tank light is fantastic and even better than the name brand light I had before (more on this at the end of the review). The range of colours and you can even DIY the light to your requirements from the remote control. The remote control is easy to use and understand. This makes setting up the light so easy. I especially like the fact I could lie the light on my worktop and then press the button on the remote to show you the sunrise, day time, sunset and moonlight quickly. However not to quick that you are able to check all lights and colours are working before putting it on your fish tank. I am really pleased with the light and it does light up all areas of the fish tank. The video is after sunrise at 6am and starting to brighten up day time light at 8.15am. I bought this light after a name brand light basically blew up 32 days after purchase and most worryingly it didn't trip my fusebox.

Purchased this light after having a similar unit for the last couple of years, that i was never really happy with, but this one is perfect! Firstly, it`s a breeze to set up, which i`ve put on the 24/7 mode. The main thing i like about this unit, is that when it gets to 10p.m, it goes to a dim moonlight phase for 2 hours and then at midnight, it goes off altogether at midnight, untill 6a.m. My other light didn`t do that and stayed on moonlight all night and in my opinion, was too bright, but this one is perfect. Another feature i like about this light, is the fact that if there is a break in the power supply, or you have a power cut, when the light comes back on, it remembers where it was and carries on. Now on my old unit if this happened, which it did a couple of times, i`d have to be up at 5a.m to reset it, which was annoying, so to have a memory feature built in is brilliant. One other feature it has as well, is the ability to customise the brightness of the lights in it`s different phases, which i haven`t done as it`s fine on the default setting. Fantastic light and good value i think, can`t recommend it enough to anyone with a tank :)

I really like the lamp. I plan to get another one. Plants grow well with it. I have light plants, I don't have CO2. A little complicated to set up at first but you get used to it. It's a good lamp, cheaper. My aquarium is 120 cm long and it fits perfectly. I've had it for a month and it does its job well.

Fantastic light but unfortunately hasn’t lasted longer than 3 months

Well made product but it's timer function doesn't work as it should. I contacted the supplier and they where helpful in what I need too do to resolve it and offered to replace it but it's still not right and I don't have time to send it back. It will be used as an emergency light incase something happens to my others.

The remote control is the most straightforward and easy to use. The 24 hour cycle seems to be well designed, you don’t have to start the cycle from the beginning like most other light units. The colour temperature is very natural which is great for the fish and brings out the true colours. So pleased so far.

I have two of these units—one purchased in June and the second in August. Both work well. I use them for the same aquarium, with a two-hour phase difference between their cycles. One lamp turns on at 6:00 and off at 22:00, while the second one turns on at 8:00 and off at 0:00 (midnight). This creates the effect of the sun traversing (or moving) across the sky. The picture shows the settings (the number of steps, where 1 is the brightest and 12 is the darkest). Some people complain about poor water resistance. I haven't risked getting moisture inside and have mounted the lamp over a glass lid. Others complain about a short lifespan. I can't wait to post a review until it stops working, but it has been working for the last three months (though not at full power).

Good lights but utterly confusing remote instruction for timer set up. Light colour easily adjusted, I have given up on trying to set up timer and just use manual on/off. Could be a lot better with a redesigned remote function and comprehensive instructions.
