Very clearly written with good examples. Concise, practical and essential.

This was a quick read and gave some interesting tips for writers. A good reference tool - though I did find that it wasn't exactly what I was expecting in terms of examples or specific information, it was informative and I will certainly use it while I am writing/editing.

I have just inhaled this book. It is so easy to read and so useful. I can't wait to put the practical step by step guide of editing my WIP into action. I love that it has this guide, other books just go on about what Show Don't Tell means but your still left a bit befuddled as to how to improve your own work. That is not the case here, i now have a very clear picture of how to take my writing to the next level and how to avoid telling.I can't recommend this book to novice writers like myself enough, it's invaluable.

I enjoyed reading this book and found some very useful examples. I wouldn't say that it is written entirely clearly but then I am a Brit and it is written in American so don't let that put you off, it just meant that I had to re-read some parts to fully understand - no big deal. Any writer will benefit from the experience of studying this book. Showing is a technique that some writers struggle with - struggle no more.

I'm currently doing a part time online degree in creative writing and like many new writers, one of my faults is too much telling and not enough showing. I bought this book to help me learn how to change that. I've found it invaluable and the concepts have been broken down into bite size pieces that are easy to understand. For anyone struggling with show don't tell I'd recommend you read it. I'm just about to start my second assignment. Guess I'll see if I can put this advice into practice!

This is a brilliant book for writers, full of useful tips, explanations, and examples of how to show and not tell in your writing.At only 88 pages, it is perfect to dip in and out of.I'd say this is a must-have!

I love this little series of books. Came across them from a blog link and have found them really helpful so far. The book gives a list of exercises to do with your own ms and explains the whole showing and telling thing in a clear and helpful way. I will be buying the rest of the books in the series.

After reading this, for the first time, I truly understand the art of showing v telling. Buy it!
