2 Inch 270067 Top Valve Assembly Replacement Kit Replacement for Hiflow Top and Side Mount Pool Spa Multiport Valve

Better quality than the original brand name one that wore out. Solid replacement for my 24 year old pool. I was skeptical given no reviews but as an experienced pool owner and the return policy I gave it a shot. I am very pleased how solid it is with the handle and spring action when I turn off my pool and move to backwash. It’s terrific so far. The key is to line up the front notch in the handle and slot pointing directly at you with the triangle valve opening directly beneath on the underside. This is the proper set up for “Filter”. Refer to your old one. Put some magic lube on new large O ring. Gently press in your new spider gasket. I don’t recommend putting anything on spider gasket. Just press in starting with middle and gently around. Press handle and turn 1/2 inch so it’s out of notch and there is no pressure on spider gasket. Now bolts go in hand tight. Just fingers and screw driver. Then snug them a little criss cross like a car wheel. No wrench on bottom bolt needed. Press and Put handle notch back in filter slot. Pressurized pool and see if everything is good in filter. If ok then select the proper decal. Mine had filter in the front as both do and a small notch to line up at approx 12:30 on the clock face. Sticker goes on easy if you hold in place and slowly peel backing off one half side and follow closely with finger to smooth it into place. Other half a little tougher. I wanted to pay it forward with my comment as thanks for all the comments from great people on this platform that help me research, buy and install with confidence. Great valve, highly recommended and it’s easy do it yourself!!!

I replaced the spider gasket and discovered that the top valve assembly was defective as well. Rebuilding it was not an option. I ordered the HJSIUTV 2 Inch 270067 Top Valve Assembly Replacement Kit. It fit as described. My pool equipment is below the pool so I had to partially drain the pool ti effect the repair. If I encounter no problems when the pool is filled and the filter system activated, all wil be well.So Far so good!Unforunatelly, when installed the diffuser did not line up with the spider gasket and the valve leaked to waste at all locations. note that the handle points to the right of dead center between the twomountng holes. This means that the diffuser is off line with the spidergasket allowing water to leak out the valve from all postions; filter, closed,backwash, recirculate, and rinse.Note that the old top, photo two, the handle points directly at dead centerbetween the two mounting holes. When this old top was reinstalled therewere no leaks in any position.

The replacement kit arrived reasonably fast and fits perfectly. It was easy to install and works very well. Thank you very much!

The thickness of the top lid(the part that bolts to the multiport valve) is under spec thickness. The OEM part is 0.501 inches thick. This one is only 7/16 (0.44) inches thick. The spec picture in the info image for this top valve assembly must be for the OEM assembly, because the measurements are not correct. I worry that the lid top may crack with time at the outside edge due to this under thickness issue.2. The grey diffuser that presses against the seal in the multiport valve appears to be made of a different type of plastic compared to OEM. It is shiny and does not have the rough sanded look that is normally a quality of fiberglass reinforced plastic. Also, the diffuser sealing surface was not manufactured with a smooth plainer appearance. There are some dimples or irregularities. This may not be a problem if the sealing gasket can handle the variation, but some of these could leak if they are too far our of specs.

We have a Pentair Triton II huge filter and the valve was not sealing so we ordered this and replaced and so much better! Instantly changed the water from chalky green to clear blue

The new valve was not clocked right. When selected for filter it also allowed to drain out of the waste port.

ten minutes later and this old ancient antique fossilized dinosaur filter was back up and running like it should. looks like it is made well with good materials. hopefully i can go another week or two before i have to fix something else busted.
