I used these when replacing the pump motor on my dishwasher. The pliers were not strong enough or sharp enough to cut off the old clamp. Instead, I clamped down as hard as I could, then began flexing the tool back and forth until the clamp broke from metal fatigue. Since I had little room to work with, this took a minute or two, but I didn't mind. They worked fine for installing the new clamp.

If you've never tried this style of clamp before do so since they are superior to standard screwdriver spring clamps. Nice kit, good assortment, very happy with this purchase!
