As expected 3 way light is nice Easy to assemble

The nut on the inside of the lamp, with cord threaded though the nut is used to attach light fixture, appears to unloosed during transit. I ended up attaching the light fixture to the top of own lamp by using Gorilla Glue. I would have to have a special tool and rip off the bottom of the lamp to reattach the nut to the fixture.Hopefully there is enough surface area to keep it attached using the Gorilla Glue.

The lamp is super cute however my owl has a large blemish on the face and the base is not sturdy....it wobbles. I have it on a dresser in my room so it is more for looks....if it were something being used more I would need to return due to the unsteady, not so flat base....Im so busy these days that I dont have time to mess with a return so I guess I will deal with it.

I love owls and collect them. This owl lamp is beautiful. There are, however, some problems with it. First of all, when you remove it from the box, little pieces of Styrofoam are everywhere! They attach themselves to everything and are a pain to remove.The instructions say to tighten securely the socket assembly. That is impossible to do because the socket assembly just sits on top of the base and there is nothing there to tighten it with! That makes it a bit wobbly, and not very secure.The other thing that I don't like about this lamp is that the switch doesn't go from off, to low, to medium, to high like it should. Instead, it goes from off, to low, to high, to medium! I find that a bit annoying. I am hoping that the lamp will work well, in spite of these things. I placed it on a secure table and I hope that the socket assembly won't cause me any problems long-term. It really is a beautiful lamp.

I bought the same lamp from Wal-Mart last year for $20.00 it looks amazing just that it got a small chip.
