Does it help on the sides

I really does smooth out the sides from under the arm to the bottom of the bra. It also smooths the back really well. Of course, I still have the darned roll below the bra, but nothing short of a tank will solve that. I really like the bra, but I find where the hooks start at the bottom, it digs into me and pinches. I'm hoping as I wash it more and more, it will soften up. Right now, it's really annoying.

Does this bra have padding?

No! No padding is needed. They are good comfortable bras, they just don't have all the support I would like.

Is it machine washable?

I wash mine in a delicates bag on cold in the washing machine and hang to dry. I put the bag in a load of other delicates -panties, pj's, light weight t-shirts. Never put bras in the dryer. Since I quit doing that 8 or 10 years ago, my bras have held up much better.

How to measure for bra size?

Search the Amazon app for bra sizing. I am very short waisted and did not like the front closure. By the end of the day, it folded over 3 times. I think the closure is too wide. Very comfortable.
