I liked it very much
I started this series to take a short break from the angst and depression of so many other good danmei novels (I'm looking at you, Husky and his White Cat..) and I am glad I did. I couldn't put this down, and read it in a day! Loved it. So cute and made me laugh out loud. It keeps you interested. Very easy to visualize the personalities of each character.

Terrific Translation
I've been a fan of the author's work for some time, so naturally I was ecstatic when we got an official English translation of this novel. Despite my major love for this book though, for the convenience of future potential purchasers of this novel I will try to review with little bias.if you're wondering if this is a book you'd be into, here are some pros, cons, neutrals as well as my personal gripes.Neutrals- Comedic tone, if you're here after finishing SVSS and you want more angst, then I'm sorry, this book just isn't for you. Like a fruity candy, this story is sweet, with very little sour patches within it. Not to say there isn't any conflict, but since this book centers around the budding relationship of our two leads, it's mostly from outside forces.- (Spoiler) Not to get into too much detail, but Mpreg does appear later in this series. (Not in this one though)Pros- Translation is of excellent quality, at no point in the book did I feel the need to search the meaning of a phase or wonder what the intent was behind the choice of language used- The artwork is lovely and a pleasure to look at on its own- The story's pacing is pretty good, it doesn't stomp to a halt, nor dash forward to any degree, making it nice to read casually without having to worry about forgetting its content.Cons- When delivered, my book did have some damage around the spine and edges- On pages near the end, a few random ink dots were in strange places. None obstructed the text or pictures, but there were at least five I noticed throughout the book.Personal Gripes (Feel free to skip)- (Spoiler-ish) The cover, despite being breathtakingly beautiful, in no way represents how Li Yu (the main character) looks as a fish in both this book and future text. (he's never the color red and has no scars)- Using the word "Moe" instead of "Cute" or "Meng", it just doesn't appeal to me. Given the time and background the story takes place in, it's like seeing a penguin chilling with a panda in a bamboo forest. Yes, they're both black, white & cute, but one clearly isn't from the area. Were the story set in modern day, I'd be fine with it.- (Spoiler) Jokes about Price Jing liking the fish version of Li Yu a little too much. Granted, it happened once throughout this book and I get it's supposed to be comedic, but it just feels a bit icky to me.

So cute!
Incredibly adorable story, funny as heck with lots of cheeky moments, and a sweet love story, and a truly original twist to the transmigration genre! I had such a good time with this book! Truly delighted.

Love this new danmei release
Very funny and well written. It's been a while since a book has made me actually laugh out loud... I actually can't remember the last time... I really recommend this book. If you liked Scum Villain I believe that you will also like this book.Summary: Li Yu wakes up in a fish's body and is almost immediately killed but is saved by Prince Jing and becomes his pet. Li Yu discovers that the world he is in now is one he read in a webnovel and he is tasked with stopping Prince Jing from becoming a tyrant. Funny antics ensue as Li Yu tries to help Prince Jing as a fish and has to complete tasks that the "system" makes him do. Prince Jing is mute but is very observant and it makes Li Yu's job harder. Conflicts also arise between Prince Jing and other son's of the Emperor and his life is found to also be at risk. So how is a little fish supposed to not only comfort Prince Jing but also protect his life?

Can’t wait for more!
Bought this on a whim because I thought the title was silly, but it’s a very good read! There weren’t too many characters to keep track of, which is a problem I usually have in fantasy novels, and it wasn’t complicated to understand! The characters were charming and the art was beautiful. I read it in four days and I’m so excited for volume two!
