I haven't used them yet
They were much cheaper than the jewellers pads on the jewellery supply website where similar item was over £25 for one pad. Jewellery tutor thinks they should be OK to use in the same way, but these pads need to be used wet.

Decent enough for what you're paying
For the casual DIYer or hobbyist, these will do. The grit does wear down within a little use but that's been my experience with all the cheaper diamond sharpening/polishing stuff. The foam is soft-ish so when you're putting a bit more elbow grease in, the corners don't dig into your hands and make it uncomfortable. The finish of the diamond plates isn't the best, some definitely imperfections but the diamond sections themselves are decent enough and no missing sections on the ones I received. They work as efficiently as any other cheaper end diamond related product. Considering the expensive diamond sharpening plates can cost you up to 300 then these is reasonable for the hobbyist. Nice to use with a bit of water on as well for anything you don't want a load of big scratches in.Biggest downside is that some of the things these are marketed towards, 400 grit just isn't fine enough to get a good finish on things like glass that will need an ultra fine polishing compound to get sparkly clean without scratches showing. So great for general start work but if you need a shiny finish, you won't find that here depending on the material.Decent enough at £17.99.

Works for me!
So this is a set of sanding blocks, I've never actually used this type before, but they appear to be a metal sanding plate set on top of a firm sponge base. Plates are numbered in grit as per standard sanding paper and this set has 60, 100, 200 and 400 pads. Pads are comfortable to hold and easy to use, I was pleased with the results. They are quite expensive but this cost may be mitigated by how long they last, but it's too early for me to be able to say that.
