2 Pcs Sound Dampening Blanket(72 x 78 Inches)

I’ll get this out of the way first - these are really ugly. But that’s not the point. They’re designed to cut noise and reduce reverberation, and they do that very well. It was easy to use them for our event. They have nice big cloth rings on them that made it easy to put them on backdrop stands. They’re solid, but they’re not heavy, so getting them to stay up was not an issue. It’s hard to argue with the price, although you will need to budget for some sort of frame or rail to hold them in position. While I wouldn’t want to keep them up permanently, they solved our issue easily and at a great price.

Drastically helped reduce the noise from neighboring traffic and block out all light. Incredibly heavy! Be sure you have curtain rods/mounting hardware strong enough!!

These blankets are marketed as “soundproof“ and “sound dampening.” Those are not my words, those are the words the seller chose to describe their product. However, the seller knows that these blankets don’t work. On one of their product images a man is pictured singing with a guitar above text that essentially states “these blankets aren’t meant to block sound” only “reduce “ and “absorb” sound. Those are functionally synonyms, and when purchasing these blankets I took that sentence into account and assumed the sound dampening properties wouldn’t be magical, but would be noticeable. However, as seen with your own eyes in my video these blankets do not reduce, nor absorb, nor block, nor dampen sound in any way. In order to get a meaningful reduction in sound from my small portable speaker on 40% volume playing ambient traffic noises, the blankets had to be folded five times over themselves. This performance is identical to a cotton sheet folded the same number of times. I have been duped a few times by deceptive marketing, but I have never been blatantly lied to. These are low quality moving blankets that are being deceptively hocked as studio equipment. They have no soundproof quality other than the fact that they are heavy, and honestly, they’re not very heavy either. The material from which they are constructed is identical to several quilted layers of fabric garden weed barriers you would find at Home Depot. Save your money, save your time, and buy literally anything else.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Used this for a tour bus situation and it worked wonderful for my night crew / day crew. Highly recommended.

These blankets block all unwanted sounds when I'm recording. They are perfect.

They are very heavy and would be great over a patio door. They perfectly blocked out tge loud traffic outside my neighborhood in the early morning.

Blocks temps but it does not block sound at all.

Nothing but wasted my one and time. Return cost might be more from Aus To US. Very disappointed.
