Because You Are Mine Complete Novel

I loved Fifty Shades of Grey and based on the reviews I read about "Because you are Mine", I decided to buy it. It started out really good at the beginning with a lot of promise, however I soon began to deplore some of the things Ian did or expected Francesca to do. I couldn't wait to finish it and relegate it to the bin where I think it belongs. There's definitely not much Vanilla sex in here. I can't understand how a newly deflowered woman can continue with life as normal after enduring a painful spanking....and can someone really pass driving tests and motorcycle tests within a week in America?I would much prefer more from E L James

I have been hearing good things about Beth Kery' s books for a while now but it is only now that I get to read one of her works. After finishing this one, I wish that I've started reading her sooner! I love this book and I'm glad I got the complete novel in one go. It must be a killer to read the serial at the time when you have to read it as each part is released, because with this book this good, it would have been difficult! I could see the similarity of this story with Fifty Shades of Grey, the billionaire entrepreneur and the innocent younger woman when he introduced into a D/s relationship. I think what made the difference between this and FSoG was the writing. Beth Kery' s writing is far more superior, you could actually imagine and feel every emotion and every setting that the story takes you. It also doesn't hurt that the superb writing makes the sex scenes compelling and not cheesy unlike in FSoG! The characterization of the hero and heroine here was very well fleshed out in my opinion. Towards the end, the twist in the story helped me understand and sympathized with the hero, Ian Noble. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. I can't wait to look out for the other Beth Kery books!

Bought to fill gap in waiting for next instalment of the This Man trilogys....however my brain has been totally overcome with them, This Man and Beneath this Man so anything else I read just doesn't get my 100%. I liked it and engaged with the characters but found overall the book to be a tad unrealistic. No mention of a safe word at all between them?? Which I thought he being as experienced as he claimed that he would know this 1st rule. Thought the book would of maybe benefited maybe some content of Ian's work, his day to day time and maybe an office encounter to see how his so called power played out in that environment. Didn't at all like his hobby of fencing...the author picked the most boring..just to back up his "Britishness" It for a while for some reason made the character of Ian come across as really old not a thirtysomething hot male!! As I said though a good book but if reading this after the well known to all Trilogys then you may be disappointed after this. I would say this is really a starter book for somebody to read in build up to the proper ones. Only being honest.

Absolutely loved this series and so glad that I waited until it was available as a complete novel and not in the usual (and somewhat annoying series) instalment that has you waiting on the next one to see how the story develops, as much as I am all for writers doing this, it is really frustrating for readers like me that like a long story that you can sink your teeth into and not have to wait to see what happens next to the characters that you have come to love and know so well. Loved the story of Ian and Francesca - the story was compelling, laugh out loud and emotional too, the way it was weaved was enthralling to read and left me wanting to read more, keeping fingers crossed that Beth Kerry decides to give us an update on Ian and Francesca. Loved it, loved it, loved it!!!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed this book and cant wait for the next one, I am aware that they are on amazon now in 8 different parts which would cost me £12 for the next book which I am by now means willing to pay, I shall wait until September when the whole book is out. I think its a shame that the author has done this because it is ripping people off!! Even if it is a good book!

I didn't expect an adult book to be so fetish-y. This book is not for the traditional kind of woman. I think the main guy borders on being too controlling and has too many issues. He's painted as the perfect man, but I think the novel encourages women to accept a guy who might be bad for them. The main girl was once fat, but has no stretch marks and has the perfect body. I understand fantasies, but I think this is too unrealistic. I've never been fat, but I have stretch marks from sudden growth during adolescence.I do like how the story generally progressed and the focus remained on the two central characters and didn't deviate to extras.

Surprisingly entertaining romantic sexy novel . It does start alittle like a fan fiction grey rip off but I enjoy the light young tone and although Francesca is yet another innocent she does have a personality [ love the scene towards the end when she dares to dress sexy and get a little drunk ] . this is more a tale about how an ex fat girl finds her mojo through sm / sex than a really dirty story . yes there is the usual handsome rich hero who is emotional cold / cardboard dominant/ control freak [ just type of silly man no woman would go for in real life] yet I did gain pleasure with this book and it didn't disappoint .

Love this. Christian in Fifty Shades has nothing on Ian in the damaged department ! Ian is seriously screwed up, but still rather lovely Great storyline,and Francesca is a strong character in her own right,unlike some of the women in these books Even though I would never ,ever let any man beat me,I find it fascinating reading about those who do Recommended
