AHHH, HOT COFFEE!
Check my photos of the lid and Care and Use Instructions. I use this Stanley Camp Mug in my 70 degree house and think it holds coffee temp quite well for 1.5 hours with the lid on. Around a campfire on a chill morning, your mileage may vary. The sleek lid is easy to use and has a snug gasket seal. And the broad base keeps this mug from being tippy. My small hand, with all fingers inserted in the handle, is comfortable, BUT if you have bigger fingers, you may want to use only two or three of them or look elsewhere for a roomier design. And, of course, you can NOT use this mug in a microwave. All in all it’s a keeper for me!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeps my iced coffee chill for hours
Wasn’t expecting much from a mug, but this thing lowkey became my favorite work buddy. I make an iced coffee in the morning, no ice, no lid, just vibes - and it still stays cool for 2–3 hours while I’m at my desk. Seriously. The insulation is solid. It doesn’t sweat, it doesn’t warm up too fast, and it feels good to hold. I got the plum color and it looks even better in person.Didn’t even need the lid, but good to have it just in case. Definitely worth it if you’re a slow sipper like me.

Ok
Like others have stated, it came damaged. The handle arrived bent but I didn’t feel like doing a return. It does keep my coffee hot longer. I wish the top opening also closed so it wouldn’t spill but unfortunately it doesn’t, it’s a large opening. I honestly don’t see anything special about this Stanley mug than any other stainless steel mug. I love the color, easy to use, function like it’s suppose too. I don’t think I would recommend a this mug due to it not being travel friendly due to the large opening that doesn’t close.

If I had to do it all over again...
I honestly waver between 2 and 4 stars on this one. I have been a long-time advocate of Stanley things (long before the stupid 40 oz tumbler fad that usurped HydroFlask's school-age reign for overpriced water holders), and I think this is the first product from them that sort of underwhelmed me.Functionality-wise, it's fine; it does what a thermally insulated camp mug should do, which is to keep warm beverages warmer than a styrofoam cup or ceramic mug. But I'm going to be picky and call out its perceived shortcomings.- the lid is all right, but it is not a thermal lid by any stretch of the imagination. It is a smoky-clear, single walled lid that basically prevents spills from sloshing, or from something as big as a bumblebee from getting in. It does not shut completely and is just held on via friction from the silicone ring.- it holds 12 ounces (more if you don't use the lid), however it gives the perception of being almost oversized for how much it can hold. The top 1/3 inch or so is taken up by the lid.- some mugs just simply "feel good in the hand", and to me this one doesn't. Quality and craftsmanship are fine, but it just seems a little "off" for what it is. I have standard human adult male sized hands, and the handle wants to fit all 4 of my fingers, but it doesn't quite do that comfortably. And using 3 fingers leaves sort of a gap. I find myself grabbing it like a standard cup and not using the handle, but due to the nature of the thermal insulation design, it's a little wide to do that comfortably, either. Although I have been called out multiple times for being a massive drinkware snob, so this might not be a big deal for normal people.- it is larger than most standard cup holders.Really this mug just sort of makes me think of something where they told some engineers to design a thermal coffee mug, but none of those engineers have ever drank coffee before. Sort of like the opposite of their thermal travel french press, for example, which I think is an awesome product.Of course, all of these complaints are me being hyper-critical, but I am who I am, potential buyer, and maybe you're a drinkware snob like me. If that is the case, I'd do some soul searching. But if not, or if you're *really* on that Stanley train, then maybe this mug will do you fine.TL;DR - At the going price of around $23 at time of order, I was sort of non-plussed in regard to what the mug is (plus it shipped in an envelope as opposed to a box, so I'm happy it survived the trip without being dented). During the holiday season I have seen the price almost double, and unfortunately at that point it pretty much delves in to the realm of paying for a name. Granted, in my mind it is one of the better name brands out there, but still...On the positive side, the green hammertone looks and feels as nice as always, and it's dishwasher safe which is a huge bonus.I'm going with 3 stars, "average, with no major benefits or shortcomings for its price range" at this point because even with my tirade of paying for the name, Stanley still does put out a lot of decent hardware IMO.. this design just didn't cut it for me personally.
