I got this book for Christmas last year, and at this point I can play every song easily. This is good and bad. I've only taken piano for two years and found this book fairly easy. COLDPLAY is my favorite band, and their music is absolutely wonderful, but this book simplifies the songs down a bit. I eventually got bored of the simple notes that didn't impress anyone and started to change it up. This book is easy to out grow if you are still advancing in your playing. However, my friends, who don't have much experience on the piano, enjoy playing these songs. I suggest buying this if you are a beginner. But if you want more of a challenge that sounds like the actual songs, try somewhere else.

The arrangements are easy (but no, not beginner), and don't take much practise before you're sounding pretty good! It is bound by three staples, and the pages fall flat once pressed down - so its fine on a music/piano stand.Note - This describes the the 2003 edition which I was sent initially (in error). So check that you were sent the right edition! The 2004 edition is bound, so doesn't lie flat as well as the 1st Ed but it includes a 13th song: "Fix You" from "X&Y"

Four stars because it is a Coldplay piano book and has some of their best songs to play. I have about 1 year piano under my belt and could only play a few things of each song. There were many chords and sharps and flats which shouldn't be classified as "easy" but maybe "intermediate".

Good range of songs from The Scientist to Viva la Vida. Easy pieces for someone getting back into the piano.

I ordered this for my pre-teen and teen piano students, but it is definitely not easy piano. Coldplay's famous rhythms have not been simplified. Arrangements are a little boring.Too hard:Rhythms have not been simplifiedTreble part often contains polyphonic rhythms with 16th notes and dotted eighth notesKey signatures include the key of E and A flatToo boring:Left hand is reduced to a single note, or maybe a fifth in some cases, leaving out the portions of the chords that make them interesting.I play at an advanced level, and have been teaching piano for 15 years. The song selection in this book is nice, but I wouldn't put it on the same shelf as "easy piano" books (what I would consider appropriate for levels 2B through early 4.) I would give these songs to mid or late 4 students, with an exceptional grasp of rhythm.

Good book. Cold play if very hard to play for a "beginner", so to speak. Played many years ago and am taking it up again. Just wanted some entertaining and challenging music. I found it, for sure.

My daughter is a beginner piano player, and received this book as a gift from her Dad. She is working on Clocks to play at her piano recital. There are varied degrees of difficulty in the book, and she has been having fun looking at and reviewing the book with her piano teacher. If you love Coldplay you will love the book!

There's no chores so it's not so beautiful. I need to check on the internet to modify it to play. I'm a completely beginner with 2 months of experience only.
