After using analog thermometers, this digital one is extremely quick and accurate, my wife uses it daily, and I also use it frequently too. Very easy to read , like the backlight feature. Overall excellent tool at a reasonable price, you can spend more and you can spend less ,but for me ,this one fits my needs perfectly.

We had a good thermometer from a different brand which worked well for us until it decided it no longer wanted to work for us. I guess after six years of service it had earned a rest. I was going to get the same model as a replacement, but it's no longer available. I didn't really do much research on this one (because it's a thermometer), but I slapped it in my Amazon cart and placed the order.I have to say my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by it. Sturdy. Accurate. However, this one has features that we didn't realize we wanted or needed. First of all, it is backlit as listed in the description. It's bright, and the large numbers really stand out. Makes it easy to read. It also has a magnet in the back of it. This comes in handy, as it can be placed on a fringe, top of the stove, or the overhead fan over the stove. No longer have to dig in a drawer for the thermometer when you need it most. Buy an extra and stick it to the side of your grill.This thermometer served its purpose for us and more. Recommended.

Easy to use, clean and store. Looks and feel nice, gives accurate and fast reading. I like the sharp, folding probe.

Finally we got a great thermometer for our meat and we love how accurate the reading is. The digital display is perfect for viewing and easy to read, especially lit up at night in the backyard when barbecuing. The magnet backing definitely adds a great feature too! I like it so much I'm getting these for my family for Christmas gifts!

Accurate temp readings instantly. I grill or smoke something every weekend and this is so much better than using a meat probe. Check different areas instantly on large meats and works great on steaks or similar meals.

We just recently replaced an old digital meat thermometer that stopped working due to getting wet. As these things are used to temp meat they need to be washed. This new thermometer is waterproof! As with any electronic device I still wouldn't submerge it in water, but this one looks like it will stand up to a good cleaning. As I looked it over the battery compartment has a gasket to keep water out and it comes with 2 [CR2032] button cell batteries., The overall feel of the unit is sturdy and we love the big, quick-read, numbers and the ability to backlight the display. The convenient built-in magnet keeps it off the counter yet nearby for quick temp checks. We really like this digital meat thermometer.

Since buying my smoker, I needed a better thermometer to gauge my food's doneness. This one is working really well for me. The screen is bright and easy to read. It's quick to display the temperature. And I like how it easily shuts off when you close the pin, like a pocketknife. No power switch to fumble with or forget to turn off.It's too bad the magnet is too weak to hold it in place on the side of my refrigerator, but the enclosed velcro attachments works pretty good. Just not as convenient as a magnet like I've had with other meat thermometers, so I'm docking it one star from "Ease of Use".

This instant read thermometer is a must have for any cook. It is sturdily built and instantly reads as son as it is opened and pushed into whatever you are cooking. I bought it because I recently purchased a new griddle and I was unfamiliar with how fast it cooked things. I found it read fast and accurate and instantly brought consistency to my new found griddle foods. I then started using it on everything, the grill, oven, stove top for all foods. It is a wonderful accessory that has instantly effected the consistency of my cooked foods. Highly recommended.
