California here we come
This is another show that I missed out on watching the first time round when it was shown on TV. On paper, this would be exactly the type of show that I’d be interested in watching but for some strange reason it never really grabbed my attention much. After watching One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl, I was persuaded to finally give this a go, and............I’m glad I did!!! I love everything about it, the storylines, the characters, the fact that it centres around a group of over privileged rich kids living in California, not to mention the gorgeous Ryan Atwood!! I think the relationship between him and Marissa was what honestly kept me gripped throughout the whole series. It’s a shame it only lasted 4 seasons but realistically I don’t think there was anywhere the characters could go after that, but it’s still a great show anyway. I won’t ruin it for anyone who hasn’t seen it, but if you’re a fan of Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill, you should definitely give this a go.

Absolutely amazing
I had watched The O.C. before and just had to get it on DVD before it disappears from the market. The series itself is just absolutely amazing. The way the characters are written gives even the supporting characters depth that is rarely seen even in the main cast. In my opinion it is one of the best television series' ever made! The box in which the products are delivered looks good and suits the series' scenery quite nicely. The DVD's have all those legal disclaimers that usually annoy to watch at the start of every disc, have been placed at the end of every disc. This means you'll save yourself those precious five minutes of quality time with Summer, Marissa, Ryan and Seth!Definitely a product well worth it's price.

the first season is one of those seasons of TV that can be watched and enjoyed over and over because it was telling a story ...
Coming from the generation where you were either OC or One Tree Hill, The OC is always going to be one of those television shows I will come back to, and know that its there when I need it. While the fourth season is debatable in terms of quality, the first season is one of those seasons of TV that can be watched and enjoyed over and over because it was telling a story you were very quickly invested in after the pilot - if you haven't seen the show before I highly recommend it, but if you have this is a great box set to have (although it should be noted that as this was the early 2000s, there aren't a vast amount of special features)

Bargain, but S1 still not widescreen
Season 1 is in 4:3 format - the only downside to a great value box set. It seems strange, given that seasons 2, 3, and 4 are not only in widescreen, but are available elsewhere (on iTunes) in HD. I already had season 1 in the older "gatefold" packaging. The season 1 in this set is absolutely identical in terms of the discs, albeit they are packaged in a slimmer plastic box. The "16:9" mark on the bottom of the outer box is therefore a bit misleading. That said, this set is a bargain and the show puts newer "teen dramas" in the shade.

Great show, wrong pictures of the item
Love this show and came in perfect conditions. The box is not the one in the pictures though...would be 5 star if it was actually the packaging that shows in the pictures.

great!
I had never seen the o.c until I bought this and I'm so glad I did. It's a great programme if you like shows like dawsons creek and one tree hill you will love the O.C! I think all characters apart from marissa are very likeable especially Seth Cohen (Adam Brody). Seth is without a doubt the most likeable character closely followed by summer and Ryan. The first season is with out a doubt the best season and the pilot for the O.C is my favourite pilot for a tv show (apart from one tree hill). I think this is definitely worth buying.

The O.C - Complete box set
We had already seen all of the O.C on tv and loved it so much we wanted to watch it again & again! Being able to get the box set at such a fab price was great. If you've ever watched any of the O.C and liked it then this box set is a must. A great series about the trials & tribulations of being a teenager and everything that goes with it!!
