Don't have oder , not seeing it, and easy clean up. It's gift for me and my cat.

We bought this in December and here we are in early March and we are having issues.First, we started noticing the odor control was not what we expected it to be. We could smell the litter just a couple days after changing it. It was not what we were getting from a much less expensive automatic litter box.Then during the last week of February we had issues with the safety door not closing. Elspet claims that because we bought it through Amazon they can’t process the return and refund on their 90 day warranty.I’m not at all happy with the product.

I had problems with this unit from the beginning. It would work for a while then an issue would come up. I literally had to YouTube to try to resolve the issues as it was almost impossible to speak with a live person for troubleshooting. I finally got a full refund because it was unable to be fixed. Maybe I just got a dud but I think most buyers have had the same issues. I was hoping it would work because it’s a wonderful product when it’s working.

NOTE: I ordered this litter box from another seller under a different brand name. When the box arrived it had HillPig on it, but this is exactly the same box as the ELS Pet automatic litter box and uses the same app. I'm just posting my review that I did for the other seller. Mainly because it is important to note that some of the issues that people are experiencing are fixable by going through the product manual. Such as when it stops working and the red light blinks. So please read below:Just like the title says, so far so good. I received the automatic litter box. I am questioning how the seller packed the item. There is a noticeable crack in part of the outer plastic on the box. So far it doesn't affect the operation of the box but we will see. I did contact Amazon concerning the damage. There are some pluses and minuses to this product but overall it will suffice for my needs. The litter box came with an instruction manual, so it wasn't hard to figure out how to set it up. Make sure not to just push the door when setting up, it can affect operation. Just read the manual. It even came with an extra rake. After running a cleaning cycle the clumped litter is basically deposited in the back of the box in a collection tray. The plastic bags to line the collection tray are flimsy but will work for now. The type of litter is important, as odor control is a factor. Bentonite or mixed litter (tofu/bentonite) is recommended. So far I've used tidy cats litter and while the machine runs well the odor control isn't the best so I've been swapping out the bags every 2 days. The box is supposed to have UV and odor control but can only do so much under the circumstances. So proper litter selection is important. I've ordered some mixed litter so I will try that out.Now for operation. That can occur manually or via the app. The outside box had hillpig pet printed on it. But it is basically an ELS Pet brand litter box. The box can be controlled via the app such as cleaning, UV operation, light and power control. Automated cycles can also be set up. The app monitors and records the times the cat uses the box and for how long, average time, etc. The app is so-so.Now it is important to note. Using the right amount of litter is critical. There are minimum and maximum litter levels to this box. Use too much litter and the box will stop working and can also mess up the motor. And it also has to be level on a flat surface. The app showed the litter level on the box had gone down so I refilled it but did not reset the litter level on the app. A few times when I ran a cleaning cycle a "Please" message popped up in the app. Then the box stopped working. The red light would flash. Wouldn't run through a cleaning cycle. Well I learned how to reset the device. Unplugging the box, then plugging it back in, pushing the light button, the third pushing from the left and holding it down for at least ten seconds resets the box. So I removed the excess litter and reset the box and Voila! -- It started running again with no issues.As for my cat getting acclimated to using the litter box, it took her a day and a half to start using it. I just set it up and left her alone. She is an older cat, so that pull out step is helpful for her. Also, I like that excess litter collection occurs within the pull out step. Keeps the mess down in front of the box. Hopefully this box works for a long time. Like I said the ELS Pet brand is pretty good. I have my thoughts on this seller, but I'm going to keep it positive.

This thing is a wonder and saved so much of my time and energy, I can actually do other things rather than cleaning up after my little stinker!

I had an issue where the liner in the tray has ripped out and now litter is getting stuck to the bottom of the box and upon trying to contact elspet about it they took not only a week to respond but they asked me for a purchase receipt which I don’t have as this was gifted to me, and upon explaining that I get ignored and have to send another email for which their response seemed like they didn’t even read any prior emails and again asked for a purchase receipt. They have horrible customer service reps.

I bought the litter box in November and it was damaged after 4 months, it is very expensive for it to be damaged in such a short time. Additionally, it does not have much oxygenation and a very bad smell is concentrated more than a conventional litter box.

Only thing we found was that if you put in too much kitty litter it does not scoop properly. And that was our fault. Other than that it’s worked perfect and there is a noticeable reduction in the smell of our kitty litter.

Esta compra definitivamente valió la pena.

Absolutely trash. Have had nothing but problems with this litter box. Broken within 2 months of purchase and no longer returnable.- does nor accurately track the amount of litter left in box.- smells worse than a regular litterbox.- creates more white marks and littee all over the floor and furniture.- scoop teeth are broken- door is broken- pee leaks into the bottoms and onto the floor.- uv light does NOTHING.I have tried so hard to make this box work as it is so extremely expensive and it's honestly been the morst headach I've ever had.and worst decision I've ever made. Waste of time and money. Too good to be true. Lesson learned. Can't even begin to express how disappointed I am....Negative 5 stars.

I should've bought one long before now. I have 3 cats, they took to this right away. Once one went in they all started using it with no coaxing required. My one big 25 lbs cat can fit in it easily. It runs quiet so you forget it's even there. I use Fresh 4 Life cat litter from Pet Value and it handles it no problem. With the 3 cats I find I empty the waste box approximately every 4 to 5 days depending how often the cats use it. The app was easy to understand and connect to my phone.

You will need to have the litterbox on a 2.4g for the device to connect to your phone to create an account on the app.
