Better than my benchmades, by design.
This is a good knife, but out the box I was unhappy. It arrived very loose. Tightened it up and no problems. This showed me that the one star reviews are written by those who don't know how to maintain their knives and kizer should torque down their screws. I've been beating it for a month now and it has not loosened any. It's my new favorite workhorse, i don't keep shelf queens it'll pull it's weight or crack under the abuse. The design and ergonomics are wonderful (minus the ridiculous cosmetic fuller but fullers are mostly used for weight balancing so it's pretty unnecessary on any folder in my opinion). The grinding is beautiful and in fact better than several of my benchmades. The cross bar lock aka axis is also tighter than my griptilians and seems to engage slightly farther over the tang. Plus it came with replacement springs and screws encouraging people to work on their tools themselves instead of sending them back to the factory. Its the first knife I've bought in a few years because I had my spyderco astute and it's another great blade, but it's been so good so long that it has earned an heirloom effect, so I'll be polishing that edge and handing it down to my daughter. But I think in about 6 or 7 years I'll be giving this one to my son. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and glad I bought it and didn't listen to the vague one star reviews that are slandering this beautiful blade. But as stated it came loose and had to be tightened out of the box mine was loose enough that it didn't want to hold itself closed. Kizer needs to tighten up QC a bit here but I've paid 3X as much in the past and gotten much worse so given this knives quality and price point I believe it has earned 5 stars(in case you were wondering why i didn't dock a star for being loose).

Great knife..
Been collecting for years. All the premium brands as well as the budget. First Kizer, though. Long story short, happy with the purchase. I’ll be buying more Kizers. Overall, everything checks. Fit and finish, no blade play, clutch lock beats axis lock, centered, great grind, stonewash is aesthetically pleasing, even the bilboarding is eloquent. My detent is perfect. Jimping isn’t too sharp and does it’s job. Gonna need a little lube, but most do. I don’t throw out 5 stars, hence 4. My only complaint is that the fuller is for looks only, unless you have infant hands or crazy long and strong fingernails. That said, I’m happy with the purchase.

Best folder I own.
I was thinking of ordering a new Benchmade due to my love of the Axis system. I saw this knife on sale during Prime Days and decided to take a chance even with a couple of bad reviews. Boy were they wrong. The action was smooth right out of the box. The locking system is better than my Griptilian Mini. The handle feels great and the blade is razor sharp. I had a hard time trying to pick between the black and green handle. As you can see I went with the black but now I am going to bit the bullet and get the green handle as well when I can catch them on sale again. As far as the other reviews about the blade being open in the pocket, the tension can be adjusted. It can be explained and shown with a couple of YouTube videos. Mine came in perfect in the box without adjusting. Do yourself a favor and pick this little gem up.

All around great EDC
Top notch materials, design and craftsmanship: excellent drop point 154cm blade, brown micarta handle panels, ergonomically pleasant while easily gripped different ways for different uses, the best locking system I've seen and used. Easily opened and closed, in multiple ways. Not to mention in an overall very attractive package. Would like to see (and have) one with 4" or larger blade.

Popped open just from walking
Tight when opened but very loose when folded. Popped open while in my pocket, cut my finger deep. Extremely disappointed considering the brand name.

Perfection
The action on this knife is rediculousely smooth! It is completely drop shut. The lock is very smooth and can be adjusted to 3 diffrent settings. The richlite micarta is great quality. The steel has perfect heat treat. Razor sharp! You can’t go wrong with any KIZER! To the guy who said it popped open just from walking…..you need to adjust your omega springs. They have 3 settings. That’s why KIZER made this possible.
