Very nice and easy to use
This is a very nice and robust machine, quite heavy and solid. I got this one to bind some completed drafts of my doctoral thesis and it came out very satisfactory. I don’t recommend punching more than 10-15 pages at a time though, because the thickness of the sheets can shift the punched holes too close to the edge of the page.

Very efficient
I had expected originally a electrical device. But when I unpackaged it I found a purely mechanical. To me this is a good thing. Can work it fine without having to find a socket to plug it in. It is of very sturdy make using strong metals and I imagine a device like this could last for decades even with heavy use. To use this device is relatively simple. You use one part to puncture the holes in the sheet of paper, and another part to attach the comb. The holes punctures are small and very neat and do not eat up too much of your paper leaving plenty of space for test or images. And once you have attached the comb it is securely bound leaving you with a neat firmly bound document. My only issue with it is the instructions. They are awful. The diagrams do not really show you what you need to do and the instruction are very basic. I ended up working it out myself because the instructions were midleading. BEcause of these I can only award four stars. It does come with a starter pack of combs to bind your paper and some coloured card and see through sheets. Which is a nice little bonus. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.

Extremely well made, quality piece of equipment
A decent, solid, practical, good looking addition to the SOHO. I have used a similar Fellowes machine at work, so found the operation of this unit relatively easy. If I was asked to choose just one feature that would make this a better binder than any I had used in the past it would be the slide-out comb storage tray that also has a series of guides which indicate what size comb is required for an individual documents thickness. As others have noted, it takes a fair amount of desk space, but certainly looks and feels the part - It's very heavy build is testament to the higher price when compared to other similar devices. To offset the high price a package containing combs and document covers sufficient to bind ten documents is included.

Easy to use, durable!
I have a smaller Fellowes binder, so I had no problems using this without the help of the not-so-elegant User Guide. Anyway I watched an excellent YouTube video that explains how to use this machine very well. It's really easy to use and with a little practice, you get great results. After punching paper, you can use the provided Slots (matched with comb millimitres) provided to determine the size of the comb that would be suitable for the binding project. The built quality is impressive, you get reassuared that you would be using it many years to come. The binding process is very easy and I think even those just starting the binding business will find it easy to use this machine. The high and full width handle makes it less resistant when punching. For office (or even home) use, this one can take the strain.

Great for the office home or away
This is a great item for any office home or away. It can load a huge amount of papers at once and would be great for presentations for to make booklets for all kinds of use. Easy to use but is fairly large if you are short on space. Would be great if you have to make booklets often as you would share a fortune on taking them to a shop to do it. Good value

A Rolls Royce among Comb Binders
You may consider me a sad case, but I was truly excited and delighted when this beautiful piece of kit arrived at my door. Do you know that bit in the second series of 'The Mighty Boosh' when Howard (Julian Barratt) warns Vince; 'Don't touch stationery village!'? I fully sympathised with him. I buy, collect and revere quality stationery items and examples of office equipment. So this, this magnificent unit filled my heart with a real joy. Despite what you may think, hard copies of reports are a lot easier and pleasurable to read than any electronic document could ever be. If someone e-mails me an important document that I need to read, I don't do so on-screen, I print it out and then read it - I can think more clearly when I'm looking at a sheaf of papers. You can scribble on them, make notes, highlight important bits ... I don't think I need to belabour the point. I regularly produce quiz papers, reports for work, qualifications, etc and I enjoybinding them. This superb beast makes the job so much easier, producing a document that not only IS class, it also LOOKS like class. With this (admittedly a bit pricey) item, you will produce quality time after time - and with great ease. It also comes with sufficent stationery to bind 10 reports or documents. Solid, heavy, substantial and gleaming with the metallic class of a Daimler car bonnet, this unit looks set to last for years, and has comletely usurped the cheap, hand-held mutation I've used for years. The future is here - the future is now.
