Tuvizo Reflective Vest for Running or Cycling - Comfortable Reflective Gear for High Visibility and Safety

This is a well designed, light weight vest that allows vehicles to safely see you well in advance due to the high quality of the neon green & silver reflective material. In order to assess the reflectiveness of this vest, I had my boyfriend wear the vest as I drove my car several blocks behind him. This allowed me to see first hand how clear & bright the vest reflected the car's lights. The result is I now feel much safer biking & running during nighttime (& daytime) hours.Although there's no doubt about the high efficacy of this vest's reflectiveness, it's important to remember that ALL reflective vests will only work if there's an external light that reflects off of it. While I have no doubt that drivers can easily see this vest's reflection well in advance of their car approaching me if their car lights are on, undoubtably some drivers forget to turn on their headlights. For this reason only, I also chose to strap on a small blinking light to the rear crossing shoulder straps in the middle of the back in order to help further ensure my safety in the event a car hasn't turned on it's headlights. And since the vest's shoulder straps cross & are sewn together in the middle of the back, it's very easy to securely attach a small blinking light (I use a Nathan Strobe Light sold here on Amazon) that you won't even feel is there. Although I believe the Tuvizo reflective vest would be more than effective in keeping you visible to oncoming cars, it's just my personal preference to also include a safety option in case a car doesn't have it's lights on (which it's critical for the efficacy of any reflective material).This Tuvizo vest comes in one size ("one size fits all") and was very easy to adjust, as it has allows for 4 separate adjustments: one on each shoulder strap, as well as a separate waist adjustment on both sides of the anterior clip-on that's located in the middle of the torso.Since this vest is a clip-on, instead of an over-the-head application, it's extremely easy to put on & off even when wearing bulky clothes. I found the fit was comfortable when worn over t-shirts, as well as thicker sweatshirts.POSSIBLE CONCERN:I believe more people would benefit if Tuvizo had additional sizes other than their current "one size fits all" option. Although the vest is perfect for my size (5'6", 131lbs w/ 30" waist), I think people who are taller and/or have a larger mid-section might find this vest a bit snug. When I wore this vest w/ just a t-shirt, I had approximately 2.75" of extra "adjustment" room on both sides of my torso & approximately 4" of extra adjustment on each of my shoulder straps. While I was able to loosely wear my reflective vest at waist level (my own preference), I think most men (or anyone over 5'10") will find that the vest will rise well above their waist. Additionally when I wore this reflective vest over a couple of sweatshirts, the fit was a lot snugger around my waist. While this was fine for my height & size/proportions, I think most men (& taller/larger women) would benefit from a larger size. But if you don't mind a snug fit around the chest (instead of the waist), then this "one size fits all" may feel fine with you. I just would be concerned about the fit if your height was > 5'10" - 5'11" and/or if your torso girth was > than 40".Overall, this Tuvizo reflective vest is extremely user-friendly, is reasonably priced, & has the best reflectiveness of any of the previous 8 vests I've purchased over the years.

Update:This is an update to a previous review for this product. I ordered two reflective vests on Amazon a number of months ago at a time when only 1 size was available. Though I loved the product, I gave it less than a 5 star review because the "1 size fits all" runs a bit small and didn't fit me (though I'm kind of an average sized guy -- 5'11", 170 lbs). Tuvizo's customer representative emailed me immediately, telling me that they were in the process of designing a larger size vest and would I like a replacement? Of course I said yes, intent on returning the original size vests. They generously let me keep the original vests. As promised, by the end of August, I received replacement vests in the larger size. Fantastic. Service was exceptional, I thought, and particularly kudos to Tuvizo for responding to their customer comments about sizing by offering a larger size. Oh and the vests are great too -- fit well, highly reflective both day and night, and a great value. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for quality lightweight reflective gear.My original review:I'd give this 5 stars except for the fit. I'm 5'-11", 170 lbs and fairly fit. I wear the vest at its loosest waist setting whether I'm in a singlet or fleece. If you typically wear a "large" (I'm usually between a medium and large size), you're likely to find this runs small for you. I bought one for my partner (5'-10", 195 lbs) and it's definitely tight on him, even in a t-shirt. That said, the construction seems sturdy, reflectivity works great and the day-glo green is very visible in daylight, dawn & twilight hours. So far so good.

I'm just happy it fit me. It's hard to find sizes to fit around my chest. Now i hope folks can see me while I'm hooking up my trailers in the early mornings. Plus it's pink. It also has pently of room to adjust.

I wanted to update my review of this product because of the triple A customer service I received from the company. I originally sent the product back to Amazon, because when I received it, the stitching had come loose on the back of the vest and my review noted this. Within a couple of days I was contacted by a rep/owner of the company by email giving me an apology and offering to send me a new one. I agreed and within a couple of days I received a new vest with no damage. I have been wearing the vest for about a month and I really like it. It adjusts easily so that I am able to wear it over a coat when it is cold or shorten it up to fit over a T-shirt when it is warm outside. It seems very well made and I have had no issues with it to this point. It is very easy to use and the visibility at night is great. I had one of my neighbors comment to me that I am very easy to spot from a distance and that before it was hard to see me when it was dark outside. Great and easy to use vest!! I have completed several reviews but this is the first time I have been contacted by an Amazon vendor offering to make me a happy customer.

Good quality,great visibility with the added bonus of been able to adjust them when wearing heavy winter jackets , they are comfortable to wear .

Use this daily, each time I go out on the bike. Lovely piece of kit, ensuring better visibility to other road users.- Very well designed, adjusts easily to suit different size requirements- Excellent build quality - the straps and the clasp feel well made. Should last a long time- Really good reflective material - makes the cyclist VERY visible on the roadsWould very highly recommend this to fellow cyclists.

Lightweight and very comfortable. Great for walking the dogs in the dark mornings/evenings. I like the fact that its very easy to adjust and so perfect for sharing with other family members. Nice pink colour too. Very pleased with purchase and of course very bright and reflective!

Absolutely fantastic product, ‘ does exactly what it says on the tin’. Ordered 2 of these both L/XL for myself and partner for our early morning dog walks. I am considerably larger than her with a 52/54 inch chest but the item was capable of being extended to fit comfortably even after wearing some thick outdoor clothing. The web straps are nicely elasticated which makes getting on and off so much easier. Would have no hesitation in making further purchases.
