Those that dismiss this country need to educate themselves about the cultural ancient greatness that make others seem base.such is the richness here, a wealth of stories, a tapestry of weaved tales so significant to this country. There is hardly any similar book for many states.

This book is one of my favorite books ever! Great collection of Central Asian art pieces and insight into main stories of Shahnameh. This book explains importance of Firdousi work, his input into Persian culture. It contains miniatures of all ages, it is very interesting to see how styles have been changing during the years, being influenced by different world cultures.For anyone who is interested in Persian culture, Central Asia it is must have.

Arrived on cue, well packaged. I heard about this book on Radio 4 and was intrigued by the subject so I am currently not long begun another book but this is definately the next one to be read! Thanks

Definitely the most glorious publication of illuminated persian manuscripts.
