This camera works great just to boost the infrared for other cameras if you have dark spots. I did not court test the image quality because I haven't found the time yet but I'm sure it has decent quality image because the build quality is decent. It puts out bright infrared light and holds up to the weather nicely so far after minor water proofing. Highly recommended

Set this up and it’s got good pictur quality but the camera is most definitely ment to be mounted vertically cause the picture is at an awkward angle sitting flat

Nice security camera. 2MP and 1080p. It is not plastic, but aluminum. You may be able to see that in the specs pic I posted. This piece is the bottom piece you screw on to tighten camera position after positioning it where you want. The other three pieces screwed together make up the camera. It is simple and easy to set up. I plugged it into my laptop USB 3.0 port and it was recognized as soon as I fired up my Windows Camera app. It feels solid and well built, unlike some cheaper ones available. These cameras are sometimes targets to thieves. I've not tested this, but I think this one would hold up to a few more rocks or bricks thrown at it than some of the plastic ones out there. There are many cameras available that are cheaper, with same or sometimes even better specs, so this would not be a bargain price. That said, it is sturdy, well built and made of metal, which is a plus for me.

This camera is truly "plug & play". I was able to connect it to my computer via the included USB cord and within a minute, it was loaded and ready to go. The image clarity is very good during the day. This is my first infrared night camera, and I was impressed how well that works as the images are really good at night too. They are in black and white, but clear, At night though, it seems to get the best images at about 10 feet distance or less. From there on, it starts to lose the image quality pretty quickly. Overall, I am happy with the ease of use and image quality from this camera.
