Apposite reading in these times of elitist pre-eminence

POLITICS OF THE JUDICIARY - J A G Griffith A book written at a critical time in labor movement in Britain. The author believed that the judiciary cannot under British legal system be totally independent and neutral. The book caused a stir for being blunt. The authors view was seen as radical morality of author's political leaning even though it was not overt.He revealed how powerful judges were in the exercise of their judicial powers and how they labor to preserve the interest of the establishment as against labor and trade unions.In his obituary on May 21, 2010 the Times noted that Politics of the Judiciary was required reading for a whole generation of students of politics and law. Nothing surpasses this apt recommendation even though notable changes have taken place in British politics.Politics of the Judiciary
