Mix ability
Mix them into yogurt!! They will NOT mix into liquid and good luck getting it into capsules. The taste is horrible by itself, but pretty tasty in something flavored.

Real Mushrooms
Real Mushrooms Turkey Tail Mushroom Extract Powder is great stuff! Just like all their other mushroom extracts, it’s made right, potent, and does what it’s supposed to do! Highly recommended!

Bitter, no scoop
Don't know what this product will do for me. Just started taking it. Lions mane is nice and has a pleasant taste but Turkey Tail is bitter and if you just take it by dumping the dose into your mouth it really sticks to your teeth for a long time. Perhaps I'll try the capsules. Was also disappointed that there was no measuring scoop with either lions mane or turkey tail. We have been taking lions mane for over a year with two top other companies and both provided measuring scoops for accurate measurement of the dose. Perhaps rethinking Real Mushroom company.

High Quality and Affordable Immune Booster
Three years ago our Irish Wolfhound was diagnosed at our local vet school with Lymphoma. We decided to pursue Chemotherapy since Lymphoma responds well to treatment. Our primary care veterinarian recommended supplementing with Turkey Tail mushroom along side the chemotherapy. She referenced an article from the University of Pennsylvania that showed Turkey Tail mushroom to extend the remission period extensively when given orally with chemotherapy. After reading the study we decided to give it a try and I decided to begin taking it myself. The supplement given by UPenn was very expensive $1100 for 90 days. The extremely high cost had me researching Turkey Tail benefits, preparation and independent testing. There are so many poor quality supplements out there. This supplement ticked all the boxes of the higher quality product and at a more affordable cost. I travel quite a bit and regularly would catch colds, enough that my friends would tease me about it. I have been taking Turkey Tail mushrooms for three years and have not had a cold in three years. I have only had one small run in with the flu and the symptoms were minor, low grade fever for one day, mild chills and headache, but within 72 hours I was back to normal. And yep, knew it was the flu because now days you get tested! ;o) On the Turkey Tail we were hoping for additional time with our dog, we got almost 2 1/2 years post diagnosis with Lymphoma. If anyone asks me what supplement I believe is well worth taking daily my answer would be mushrooms. And if you are looking for excellent quality at an affordable cost "Real Mushrooms" makes that product. I've used their capsules for nearly a year, and use the powder in protein shakes and as a supplement for our dogs. It mixes well and even my pickiest eater hasn't turned down her food. Our immune systems are assaulted daily in our urban environment, this is a product that just lends a helping hand.

The positive and negative
This was the second brand of Turkey Tail that I tried. My first was Wild Foods' 10:1 extract version and I loved it BUT they discontinued it. After researching I was led to this product the REAL MUSHROOMS Turkey Tail Extract. I purchased (2) envelopes. It was more expensive so I expected high quality and potency but also assumed that the extract (filler free) would easily stir into coffee just as Wild Foods brand had. Unfortunately, this assumption was wrong...the extract does NOT combine with hot coffee easily and leaves lumps UNLESS you blend it in...and even then there's grit. I cannot speak for the bio-availability BUT having used mushroom extracts of other mushrooms like Reishi, Chaga, Cordyceps and Lion's Mane from a variety of companies (in my humble experience) makes me question whether some of the mushroom pulp is being added back as filler. (I've run into this with Lion's Mane extract before.) But in fairness...this is an assumption on my part. I chose to try a 3rd brand on this latest order (Freshcap) and it has no problem stirring into coffee. Final Thoughts: I'm not knocking this brand. Not at all. However, I think that its important for the manufacturer to realize that if they are going to charge a premium for their product that it should be a superior product in quality, potency and (important) delivery. From what I've read/researched I sure they are an honest and good company and are in no way defrauding anyone. AND IF their product would have been better water soluble I would have chosen them again without problem.

I love the idea of feeding my body with micro nutrients. I put this in my coffee every day. It DOES NOT mix with water, so I mix it into my honey before I add my coffee. Works great and taste delicious.

I bought this along with astragalus capsules to try and strengthen my immune system after months of back-to-back respiratory infections. After a week of using it, I feel well and like I have more energy, though I wish I had known about it a few months ago...taking it may well have prevented much of the illness I endured through spring. The taste is unusual but not unpleasant, kind of a meaty/earthy flavour (unsurprising really since it is mushroom after all). My only complaint is it is difficult to dissolve. I've tried in orange juice and coffee but it instantly turns into sticky little clumps upon contact with liquid - even using a frother couldn't break up the clumps, they're like blobs of glue and got stuck in the frother. Because so much of it clumps and sticks to the sides of the mug or glass, you can't be sure you're ingesting the full 1/2 teaspoon recommended dosage. One time I even resorted to wiping all the residue off the inside of the cup with a piece of bread and eating it. If I repurchase it will definitely be the capsule form, not the powder - it is way too much hassle.

Powder clumps very easily. Will order in capsule/tablet form next time. Take it for immune support.
