Q: Are they 500g each or 2 x 250 g?

These are designed to hold 500 grams of dough each. However, I regularly bake 800 gram loaves which fit perfectly in those bannetons. They can take 12-24 hr of fridge retardation and subsequent expansion of the dough of about 30%. Great (not so) little bannetons, all in all.

Q: Would this size be suitable for a 750g loaf

I recall proofing breads with 500 to 600g flour, 200g sourdough starter and around 220g water. I haven't used it with more flour since the bread would become very high and might spill over the rim. Yeast breads might be a bit more forgiving since they hold shape better than sourdough breads.

Q: What is the country of origin please?

I've only had 1 basket delivered to date and that came from China.
