It was used for sound effects for children acting out a storm scene.

I purchased this for my preK classroom when discussing weather. This drum is smaller but still makes a good thunder-like sound but not so loud it hurts sensitive ears.

I have a small collection of 'unique' instruments and this one fits the bill!I grabbed this because our daughter is obsessed with Imagine Dragons, while her made-up thunder sound effect is cute, it has never been enough by her standards. So for the price, it was more than worth it. She loves to show it off to friends and 'make music' with it. So it's surviving 8-year-olds, that's a win.I think this might be the most 'viewed' item in my instrument collection. Fun percussive instrument, durable for its application.

I love this thing. It makes a cool echo-y, booming sort of sound. Unfortunately, it drives my dog completely bonkers. I'm pretty sure he thinks it is thunder inside the house. To me, this is a total nostalgia trip for those Zube Tubes from the 1990s, only much more portable!
