Pioneer VSX-832 5.1-Channel AV Receiver with Ultra HD Pass-through HDCP 2.2 + Dolby Atmos Speakers Audio Bundle

The ridiculous amount of combinations to research when trying to buy or upgrade home audio is overwhelming. But basically, I'm upgrading from a small Bose speaker and wanted to get something that could fill out my small living room. A 12 x10 to be precise with no rear wall (it opens into the kitchen area). So for me, a 3.1.2 system felt like a good fit. I just don't have anywhere to put rear channels. If, later on I want a 5.1 (at the cost of my Atmos height speakers), I can still upgrade. I went with these speakers because I felt like it was an interesting compromise; No rear channels in my living room but I can add a vertical aural experience to possibly ease the pain of full surround.Ok, first...The purchase and delivery.I bought through Amazon from Beach Camera and received my order in 2 days. The box was well packed with packing material completely surrounding the large boxes of the speakers and receivers. I have NEVER ordered audio equipment online and had it delivered by a regular delivery service so this was absolutely horrifying. Everything was PERFECT. The receiver and speakers were swimming in packing material and well protected.Everything unboxed, I wired for basic use as a 2.0 set up. I was still thinking about a center channel and a sub. I was very pleased with the performance of both the speakers and the receiver. A subwoofer is really needed to fill out the lower frequencies and I knew this. These speakers sound incredible and I have the crossover set to 80hz now and speaker size small. Please note, if you add a center channel, the receiver will automatically set the crossover to 80hz and speaker size to small if your fronts are set to small. This is fine with me.Ran the receiver set up without a hitch and found the speaker settings it chose for my room were almost perfect. The included banana plugs and wire have done perfectly and were more than sufficient.I was worried I was sacrificing something getting this deal, but I am very happy with my purchase. I came back for the sub and went with Andrew Jones center channel as well.
