Excellent.
Now that I've finished this kit, I'm ready to give it a proper review. This is probably going to be the best MG I've ever worked on. The box is great, the parts are great. I've yet to find any flaws whatsoever with this model kit, and my only complaint thus far is that the English text on the box art seems to have been translated by an intern using Babelfish.com.Potential buyers of this particular kit ought to be aware of two main things. Number one is that there is a very nice base included with it, so they don't need to buy one for themselves. Number two is that there are a mindbogglingly large number of water slides to apply; roughly an entire A4 sheet's worth. In my opinion, this is not a beginner's kit. Look for an MG RX-78-2 or Zeta if you want something to cut your teeth on first. I've put together four MG kits so far, and I can safely say that this ranks significantly above even the MG 00 Raiser in terms of complexity.Structurally, this kit is perfectly fine. The parts hold together solidly, the joints are very sturdy and the articulation is top-notch - even the fingers are individually jointed. It can stand upright with both weapon and shield equipped, but requires the stand if you intend to mount the backpack as well.Visually, this is a gorgeous kit. It looks impressive as hell, with a nice chunky aesthetic and a solidarity that the regular MG Hi-Nu lacks. The Hi-Nu Gundam was the most powerful mobile suit of the early UC era, and this kit has the looks to back up the lore. My only tiny bugbear is that the funnels don't close particularly tightly in their deactivated positions, meaning that they can 'slouch' a little bit when you're fiddling with the backpack. The water slides for the funnels are also a pain; they're big and delicate, meaning the smallest mistake tears them. As I said in my original review, this is NOT a kit for a beginner; a skilled hand is needed to make this monster shine.Overall, I love the Hi-Nu Ver.Ka. It's a great kit with a great aesthetic and a great design. It feels like it could be tossed against a wall and remain intact, and the fact the stand is shaped like Amuro Rey's personal insignia is just the icing on a very awesome cake.

It’s big and it’s solid as a rock
Amazing kit. Tons of water slides decals and great colour separation. The subtle two tone white gives the kit depth and interesting details to look at.Minor downside: the shoulders are kept in place by one small polycap, if you yank them out too much it might pop out.Last but not least once the kit is on the stand it feels incredibly solid, although I had some issues getting it on the stand in the first place. It’s basically one continuous motion where you plug the stand in the back, the backpack in the stand and the backpack in the gundam. Stay on the floor while you do this just so you avoid parts of the model falling and breaking. I would suggest you to strip down the backpack to its bare minimum (no fuel tanks, no funnels and no “wings”) in order to get it on, then attach all the other parts.

Great build
It comes with it's own base and it looks fantastic fully built! My only problem is that the colour separation could have been better

Awesome build
An amazing build, fantastic moving parts, good colour separation and he is HUGE for the 1/100 scale - almost like a small Perfect Grade...A common gripe is with the watersildes, I found them to be great all over the main suit - is was just the fin funnels that I had difficulty with. Having given the kit a spray of topcoat though, this seems to have sealed these down now.

Excellent kit! Fairly fiddly parts especially on the wings ...
Excellent kit! Fairly fiddly parts especially on the wings and the small rings are easy to lose track of so watch out for those, very well designed and plenty of detail.Thank Bandai for putting a stand in with the kit, as when the backpack is attached, the model is extremely back-heavy, the stand is virtually mandatory if you want to stand the model up.10/10 worth the money

Bandai quality and a very excellent kit. Careful with the fingers though
Came far faster than I expected, Bandai quality and a very excellent kit. Careful with the fingers though, the tips have a tendency to fly off with a little pressure

Got this as I liked the colours and poses that come with this model. Easy to follow instructions on how to put together, images on how you can pose your model and if interested in painting the colours that are needed to do this. Looks good on a shelf or in a cabinet.
