Works as advertised but I wish the instructions were better
Works as advertised but I wish the instructions were better. As a novice, it would have been nice to have it they gave suggestions on how to best use this tool.

durable and useful but needs work
This gadget is made from a solid block of aluminum and has just about everything needed to shape and maintain the tips on your pool cues. It comes as well with a spare blade, the wrench needed to replace it and a clear plastic box to keep it all together.Unfortunately the one I received has a gouge in the surface (seen best in the first photo) that creates a sharp bur right where it will leave a scratch on the finish of any pool cue you use it on. That will have to be smoothed down before I use it, which is a shame because I’m likely to polish away a bit more of the black coating on the aluminum in the process.The plastic box is also a weakness… I don’t even think it will outlast the original blade.

Fantastic tool for your cues
This lightweight, portable tool has all the functions I was hoping for and a few I didn't even know about. It's a great way to keep your cue tips in just the right condition. It's solidly built but very light. Fairly compact size but the different functions don't get in each other's way. The razor blade for trimming and cleaning can be replaced and it comes with a replacement razor (and a standard hex wrench to do the job). It would be nice if they provided a small pouch to carry this around in. I'm a little worried about having it rolling around in the zipper compartment of my cue stick carrying case. I don't want it to get damaged, nor do I want it poking/tearing anything else in that compartment. But other than that, this multitool is great.
