Great product for plant mildew and other pests
It was difficult to open the oil bottle due to the secure inner cap - needed pliers, screwdriver and my husband before we got through it but then finally success. From then on it was easy to mix the soap with the oil and apply on my poor Sage which has been infected with a strong case of mildew. One treatment and its already looking a lot better. I made a second batch to test out on my mint that was dying after being repeatedly attacked by ants. I haven't seen any of them since and the mint is now happily sprouting again. Great value for products!

Really did the trick
One of my customers had a rather sudden infestation with a leafy mildew on his rhododendrons, a dash of these two mixed with water and sprayed onto the leaves was all it took to remove a huge amount of it.I was surprised that it worked so well, in all I needed to spray the plants 3 times to remove it all but it really does a great job.Pros:Solved the leafy mildew problemGoes a very long way(slight) Cons:Smells awful! (only whilst spraying)

worked on apple & berries codling moth caterpillars and sawfly caterpillars
I used this Neem and hort. soap combination 2018 on my apple tree, which had always had its apples ruined by codling moth grubs. I use a codling moth trap to show when the moths are about laying their eggs. I sprayed after dusk (so as not to spray any bees/pollinators) when flowers were just being followed by tiny apples and again a few days later. I see advice is to repeat at 8 day intervals until traps show the adults have stopped flying and laying, and to get full cover of the eggs / caterpillar, spray underneaths of leaves and over. I had a bumper clean apple crop! The tree also had caterpillars later on its leaves (I think not codling moth) so I sprayed again. Though I wore a white protective coverall & rubber gloves so I could turn leaves over (especially other, lower plants - see later), spraying up into the highest branches above me (I held my breath so as not to breathe any in) I inevitably ended up with some on face. Just washed with warm water & soap. I did not worry as it was not a nasty chemical. I had different caterpillars on my gooseberries and raspberries & strawberries – those were sawfly caterpillars. I sprayed those too.The gooseberries I began too late, all leaves stripped, but fruit still OK to eat. Neem is safe for adults. I put fruit into bowl of warm water to get oil off just before eating (not possible with raspberries as they fall apart! so try only to spray leaves...I must’ve eaten some that had been sprayed - could not taste it, despite it being smelly, a bit like garlic smell, when applied! )The sprayer got clogged when the mix cooled a bit, but, as seller advised, jet can be cleared by immersing in quite hot soapy detergency water. I keep the neem in fridge and get the gone-to-gel oil out with the end of a screwdriver! I only make up the amount I am about to use. Yes, all a bit of a work up, but worth it.

Cleared up my bonsai
Followed the instructions and cleared my Ficus bonsai of all mealybugs. The neem oil stinks to high heaven but it is super effective. Thank you.

Not quite what I et xpected
I bought these two products to get rid of mealy bugs on a citrus tree. Whilst it did kill the mealy bugs, and it also left the leaves very shiny, many of the leaves have subsequently dropped off and I'm not sure if it is going to survive now. It may be that I simply used too much and should have watered it down far more. So I would suggest that anyone who uses these products for something similar - make it more diluted than they say.

This combination works beautifully. Nothing dies.
The combination of neem oil and horticultural liquid soap works beautifully. It doesn't appear to kill anything, but keeps the caterpillars away, everything wins. Plus you won't get poisoned when eating your cabbages etc.

Worked well
Worked well and rescued my tomato plants Frome some wee white flies. Takes a bit of effort but did the trick. Good tomatoes this year.

Smells awful
The neem oil smells so awful but the soap/oil combination does the trick of getting rid of pests on plants. I spray every part of my outdoor plants once a week, which seems to be the most effective method. My only other gripe is the neem oil bottle leaks if it gets knocked over so I have to be careful to keep it upright in storage.
